Do you know a really good pair of friends? So close it’s like they’re attached at the hip, it’s hard to think of one without thinking of the other? That’s the reputation lifestyle mogul Martha Stewart and rapper Snoop Dogg have gained for themselves with their iconic, lasting friendship.
This friendship will be explored in the first episode of Stewart’s upcoming podcast, in which both she and Snoop Dogg share how often they’re asked about the other.
We all know the legendary duo that is Martha Stewart and Snoop Dogg.
The two have gone on numerous business ventures over the years, from sharing a cooking show to advertising lighters , and have grown to be quite close friends. So much so, that it seems one can’t go anywhere without being asked about the other.
Stewart has an iHeartRadio podcast coming out soon.
It’s confirmed that her first guest will, in fact, be Snoop Dogg. In an interview with Insider , she shared a snippet of their conversation.
She informed him, “[…] you know, Snoop, when I go to a party, all people wanna know is how is Snoop Dogg?”
Turns out Snoop experiences much of the same thing.
“And he said, ‘You wanna know something, Martha? When I go to a party, everybody wants to know how’s Martha.'”
It’s a very sweet friendship they have, so entwined with one another that even their friends consider them inseparable.
Stewart called Snoop her ‘dream guest’ for the podcast.
“Snoop was really good ’cause he was really talkative and I love his voice,” she said.
She’s also excited for the podcast in general, having been inspired by her love of radio to give the format a go. “I love radio. I’ve always loved radio. I used to listen with my mother to everything from ‘The Lone Ranger’ to Dr. Meltzer, it was so interesting to me.”
The show will cover a multitude of topics.
Not only will Stewart be talking about her own life, but she’ll be interviewing a wide variety of guests about theirs, including other famous names like Kris Jenner and Alex Rodriguez.
“It’s not so much about me. It’s about my curiosity about people and what they do and how they’ve developed — how they’ve built businesses, how they’ve become famous or well-known. That’s really what I wanna get across on this podcast.”
The podcast launches on June 22.
