Beloved actor and comedian Leslie Jordan has died, as reported by TMZ. The 67-year-old was nothing short of an American icon, having starred in a variety of films and TV shows including The Help , Ski Patrol , Will and Grace , Hearts Afire, and Call Me Kat.

Leslie went from 80,000 Instagram followers to a whopping 5.8 million over the course of the pandemic.
On Monday morning, it was reported that the 67-year-old had died in Hollywood.
Law enforcement sources told TMZ that the veteran actor was driving when it’s “suspected he suffered some sort of medical emergency and crashed his BMW into the side of a building.”
The comedian’s last social media post was shared just yesterday. The Instagram video features Leslie singing a hymn.
“Sunday Mornin’ Hymn Singin’ with @dannymyrick ,” he wrote. “Danny helped me with a new original song that should be comin’ out real soon. Love. Light. Leslie.”
In a previous interview with “Garden & Sun,” Leslie recalled the first time he realized he was funny.
“One day, I came out of Sunday school—I was about seven. I was raised Southern Baptist. I’ve been baptized fourteen times—it just never took,” he joked at the time.
“But I came out, stomped my foot, and told my daddy, ‘I’m not goin’ back. They laugh at me, that’s all they do, they just laugh at me.”
“And my daddy said, ‘You’ve been blessed, you’ve been given a gift, Leslie.’ And he made me promise I’d never hide my light under a bushel, but always let it shine.”
