Have you ever seen discarded paintings and thought to yourself, “What if somebody could remake that?” That must’ve been what went through the head of this artist who does just that.
He actually alters old and forgotten artworks by adding fun pop culture elements to them. I never would have thought of doing that but I must say, it looks pretty spectacular to me.
The owner of Arrowhead Vintage & Goods, Dave, makes it his mission to salvage second-hand paintings of landscapes.
And, get this, he then transforms them into surreal sci-fi and fantasy scenes. Say what? Oh, yes that’s right! You really gotta see it to believe it.
His biggest inspiration for creating super fun scenes is ‘Star Wars’.

Check out this awesome scene he created here. It totally looks like these TIE Fighters were there all along, no? I definitely think so. I gotta say, this is really cool.
Oh my goodness, how fun is his take on Vincent van Gogh’s ‘Starry Night’ here?

Now, don’t get me wrong, I don’t condone redoing classic works of art. But, this is clearly just a reprint so it’s totally okay in my book.
How about this ‘Star Trek’ piece here?
I think any Trekkie would love to have something like this up on their wall, huh? Come on Trekkies, what do you think of this? Would you hang this up in your living room?
I absolutely love this ‘Star Wars’-inspired piece here.

Apparently, Dave always tries to match the painting’s style before inserting his ideas into it. I think it definitely shows. These paintings are done in a way that makes them look so seamless. Am I right?
Any fans of the Dude here? I bet you’re going to get a kick out of this simple scenery.

I gotta say, this is such a subtle piece but it’s also so fitting, ha, ha! The fact you can get it for $5-$15 is even better.
Did you guess Sasquatch or ‘Harry and the Hendersons’?
I thought Sasquatch at first but now I’m starting to change my mind, ha, ha! Either way, this piece is super fun. I bet it would look great wherever it ends up.
I must admit this is probably one of the best things you can get for any fantasy lover in your life.

These paintings are available for sale through Dave’s shop. But you better get on it because I’m pretty sure they sell out fast.
This one is perfect for any ‘Harry Potter’ fans out there.

Harry, Hagrid, and Hedwig seamlessly blend in with this forest scene. I think you can even see Hogwarts in the background!
So what do you think of this type of art? Do you think it’s cool?
What’s your opinion of altering someone else’s work like this? I say, if it was going to be thrown out, then I don’t see why not?
