Have you ever wanted to do a fun DIY project to make your kitchen stand out? Perhaps it’s your kitchen island that’s looking a bit dull these days?
Well, I’ve got a cool idea for you to consider. This one artist created an awesome DIY Lego bar in her kitchen and you gotta see it to know exactly what I mean. I think you’ll like it.
Muralist Racheal Jackson always loved Lego as a kid.
She’s also intrigued by the juxtaposition of playful children’s materials that can be used in more mature ways. So using Lego as building blocks in her home seemed like naturally cool idea to her.
She came up with a unique idea to incorporate Lego in her kitchen bar.
Instead of using the conventional clay slabs, she thought of replacing them with colorful Lego bricks. The result is nothing short of spectacular, right?
She waited until she had an all-white kitchen so she could infuse some much-needed color into it.
The Lego seemed like a perfect choice for her, and her kids absolutely love the design which is not a surprise at all, ha, ha!
Not only is this kitchen bar infused with Lego a statement-making piece, but it also injects some fun into the whole room.
I think you can say that again. This is definitely not something you see every day. Is it?
She ended up creating the Lego wall using various pieces.
Those included Lego bricks that can hold Minifigs and other accessories. That way, she and her kids could build outward in addition to just upward. What a fun idea that is.
Most of the bricks she used were primary colors.
But, she did inject a few pastel pieces in there, too. And, she added little doors like these so her kids can have some fun drawing inside of them. That’s so neat.
If you want to create your own DIY Lego bar it’s actually much easier than you think.
All you need to do is build a tall wall with Lego that matches the dimensions of your bar. Then, the finished piece can just be wedged between the cabinetry trim. Wow!
There’s no need for any tape or glue at all.
If any pieces do come off you can just stick them back on! Or, you can swap some pieces out to create some interesting color blocks. Your kids can also have fun playing with it.
