Introducing the new Gerber baby !
Gerber recently announced that Isa Slish of Edmond, Oklahoma is the winner of its 2022 photo search.
She was selected by a panel of judges who had the difficult job of judging more than 225,000 cute entrants.
This blue-eyed cutie will serve as 2022 Gerber Spokesbaby. She will also take on the adorable role of Chief Growing Officer (CGO) on Gerber’s Executive Committee!
The seven-month-old and her family couldn’t be happier.
Isa’s win marks a huge victory for disability inclusion. That’s because the baby was born with congenital femoral deficiency and fibular hemimelia.
This means that she was born without a femur or a fibula in her right leg.
This is something that her mother, Meredith Slish, learned when she was 18 weeks pregnant.

But it didn’t get her down.
“We knew Isa was special, she has shown us that every day since she came into our lives,” Meredith told People .
“We hope Isa’s story can bring more awareness for limb differences and create greater inclusion for children like her,” she continued.

“Because, just like Isa, they too can be or do anything they want!” she added.
It’s important for kids to understand they are capable of anything.
The family thought it was extra special that they entered their daughter into the contest in April.

In case you didn’t know, April is Limb Loss and Limb Difference Awareness Month.
“We’re incredibly grateful to Gerber for choosing a baby who represents diversity,” Meredith told the Huffington Post .
Their hope, going forward, is that their “wonderful, fun-loving, giggly, smiling, beautiful girl” will raise awareness.

She will have plenty of opportunities to do so now as the Gerber Baby!
In addition to her other roles, she will hold the title of “chief taste tester” and “review” the brand’s new baby food products.
She will also appear on Gerber’s social media channels and marketing campaigns for the year.

She is one busy baby!
Since you were dying to know, Isa’s favorite foods are Gerber Sweet Potato Puffs and Gerber 1st Foods Butternut Squash.
In a press release, her mom also described her as someone who “loves to interact with the world around her and nothing will stop her.”

“Her smile lights up the room and her laughter is irresistible,” she continued.
I can tell!
As a result of Isa’s win, her family received a $25,000 cash prize.

For the first time this year, Gerber has generously chosen to match Isa’s cash prize with a $25,000 donation to the nonprofit March of Dimes ‘ maternal and infant health programs.
Stacey D. Stewart, President, and CEO of March of Dimes, expressed her gratitude in a statement.

“With this year’s donation supporting March of Dimes’ maternal and infant health programs, Gerber is furthering its longstanding partnership to give every family the best possible start,” she said.
“We’re proud to be part of this year’s Photo Search and join Gerber in congratulating Isa and her family!”

The family has also won free Gerber products for up to a year. It pays to be cute, that’s for sure!
Also, $1,000 in Gerber baby clothes, and a $1,000 gift card from the ezpz brand of developmental feeding tools.

Isa now joins a long line of adorable babies before her, such as the original Gerber baby, Ann Turner Cook.
She also follows in the tiny footsteps of baby Zane Kahin who scored the Gerber Baby title in 2021.
