This summer, the newest addition to their menu happens to be a cold coffee drink that will make everyone with a sweet tooth want to head to the store pronto.

When the weather is warm and the sun is shining, there is nothing like starting your day off with an iced cold coffee to wake you up and get you on your way.
Now, Starbucks has a new way to enjoy your cold coffee.
One of the newest drinks that Starbucks is bringing to the table is a combination of delicious chocolate and iced cold coffee. The latest drink is said to be “inspired by nostalgic summer moments.”
Chocolate Cream Cold Brew is going to be your favorite coffee this summer.
The new cold brew drink is made with Starbucks’ official cold brew and topped with a light chocolate cream cold foam. Then, it’s made a bit sweeter with some vanilla syrup.
The idea behind the drink was to bring us all back to our childhood memories of summer.
“When creating this beverage, we wanted to bring our customers a drink that would transport them back to their favorite summer memories with each sip,” said Rosalyn Batingan , a member of the Starbucks development team in a press release.
It tastes much like our favorite chocolate milkshake.
“The classic combination of coffee and notes of chocolate, along with the malt flavor in the chocolate cream cold foam, are reminiscent of a chocolate malted milkshake or that last bit of melted chocolate ice cream on a warm summer day to recreate the sweet, creamy flavor of summers past,” she said.
Reviews say that it’s the perfect combination.
According to some reviews of the drink already, the chocolate is malty, but not overpowering enough to make it feel like a milkshake rather than a coffee. The best part is that it’s not too much chocolate or sweetness to “make you sick.”
Starbucks is also introducing some new food to the menu, too.
Along with their new drink, Starbucks is introducing three new menu items, one that is brand new and two returning favorites. The brand new item is a Lime-Frosted Coconut Bar.
The bar is fruity and delicious.
The new bar has coconut oatmeal combined with mini white chocolate chips inside. On top, Starbucks added a lime frosting with a drizzle of white icing and coconut shavings. The item will become permanent as of this summer on their menu.
They are also bringing back the unicorn cake pop.
Everyone’s favorite dessert, the official Starbucks cake pop, is coming back with their signature Unicorn one. It’s the perfect purchase when you bring your kids through the drive-through for your morning coffee run.
And, for those who brew at home, Starbucks has a new coffee blend.
The Starbucks Odyssey Blend is coming to Starbucks stores for those who like to make coffee at home can do so. The coffee comes from Peru, West Java, and Rwanda.
Starbucks reps also suggest grabbing one of their signature refreshers this summer, too.
The Starbucks Dragon Drink or Mango Dragonfruit Lemonade Starbucks Refresher are both juicy, sweet, and refreshing on a hot summer day. For those who aren’t looking for so much coffee, these are definitely a good choice.
