Have you ever stumbled upon something that made you think that a real genius must’ve invented it? I love when that happens. It’s that time when I wonder why aren’t there more useful items like that.
So today, I’m going to share with you a few of such products and ideas that are already out there. We just need to get more people on board to create stuff like this all over the world. Let’s check it out.
This Husband Depository

How often have you gone to the mall with your husband, thinking if only he could leave me alone to shop? Well, this mall definitely thought of that. They created a “Husband Depository” where the waiting spouses can wait on massage chairs and charge their phones. Genius, right?
This Bar Feature

Isn’t it annoying when you’re at a bar, and somebody keeps talking your head off while your drink gets warm? Check this out. This bar has a chilled strip where your beverages stay cool. Aha! Finally, a good solution. Am I right?
This Nifty Oven

I don’t know about you, but I tend to cook a lot. So sometimes I get wrapped up in what I’m doing that I forget when I put something in the oven. No problem! This oven has a feature that shows you the time you started cooking in case you didn’t set a timer. Nice!
These Parking Options

We’re used to seeing handicapped parking spots, so those who need more assistance can park nearby. But what about the elderly, who aren’t necessarily technically disabled? Isn’t it hard for them to walk long distances, huh? It’s nice to see that this place accommodates both.
This Recycling Bin

It’s cool to see more recycling places around. Am I right? But have you ever seen a machine that was solely designed to recycle pizza boxes? Oh, yeah. I guess this neighborhood has to have a lot of pizza joints, haha.
This Fruit Imprint

“I really hate those little plastic stickers. To remove the sticker before I can put the peel into compost is one of the daily small annoyances that make my days worse. I would really prefer the laser method of labeling.”
We all should do more to eliminate waste.
This Sensory Room

Let me ask you something, are you a nervous air traveler? I hear you loud and clear. Airplanes tend to increase anxiety in some people. So this Portland airport installed a sensory room for people to calm down before embarking on their trip. Isn’t that so awesome?
This Supermarket Robot

Check this out. There’s a floor cleaning robot at this Walmart. And it even has googly eyes! Haha! I’m not sure if this robot has taken anybody’s job, but it’s definitely cool to look at, no? Are you pro or against this type of help, huh?
This Cake Dispensing Machine

Are you craving a cake from Hoboken, New Jersey? Now you can have one even if you’re 10 hours away in Toronto. This cake dispensing machine is quite interesting. I’m not sure how fresh the cakes are, so try them out and let us all know.
This Cool Library

I have to admit it’s been a while since I’ve been to a library. However, if there were one near me that dispensed useful household items like tools and power washers, I think I would frequent it more often. What do you think of this?
These Ice Cubes

Don’t you hate when you get your iced coffee somewhere and the ice cubes water it down? It’s so annoying, no? This local cafe came up with the idea to use ice cubes made of frozen coffee, so your drink stays strong.
This Parking Helper

This parking lot helps people park by continuing the lines up the wall. What do you think of that? This person seems to think it’s a good idea, “Yeah, this is an amazing idea. I’ve found that since I’ve had a backup camera, it’s 150% easier to be perfectly between the lines without adjusting, but this would make it even better.”
This Restroom Safety Feature

“Emergency alarm chords running along the floor of the disabled toilet in Berlin Airport in case someone falls over and requires assistance.”
Oh, wow! Isn’t it pretty amazing or what? I think something like this would be helpful to be installed in a seniors’ building or a long-term living facility, no?
These Soap Dispensers

Is it just me, or do you sometimes smell the food you had at a restaurant on your hands? I guess this is a common thing. So the restaurant installed two different soap dispensers. The unscented one for before you eat and the scented one after your meal. Interesting, huh?
This Library Guide

Have you ever been to a library, but were too embarrassed to ask the librarian where to find the book you were looking for because of the subject matter? I guess that happens more often than we thought. So this library here set up a helpful guide people can use to locate a sensitive subject.
This Credit Card Security Feature

Here’s a cool new feature on this credit card. The CVV number changes every 4 hours. It still won’t prevent somebody from using it if they happen to get a hold of the card, but it definitely offers additional protection online. Just don’t put any recurrent payments on it.
This Fitted Sheet Orientation Tag

I don’t know about you, but I seem to struggle whenever I try to put my fitted sheet on the bed. Which way does it go, lol? It would be so much more helpful if all sheets come with an orientation tag like this one.
This Nighttime Safety Idea

“My country puts phosphor into sidewalks so you can see at night.”
Oh, my! Have you heard of something like that? I don’t know how much light it actually provides but in addition to streetlights, this is a pretty good idea. What do you think?
These were really cool, no?

As I said before, I really appreciate it when people come out with products that not only look good but serve some kind of purpose. That way, we can all enjoy our lives a lot more. Which one of these ideas do you find the most useful?
