Sharon Stone is changing her tune about cosmetic procedures after suffering from a stroke in 2001. She recently opened up to Vogue Arabia about the work she has done on herself in order to feel better about everything she has gone through.
While Stone did acknowledge that society takes a lot of time to make women feel like they absolutely need to look perfect, she was doing it just to feel like herself again.

Because of that, oddly, it changed her whole perspective on cosmetic surgery. Before her stroke, she considered it a luxury, but after, she cited it as becoming “some kind of massive, painful neurological need.”
“There were periods in the super fame when I got Botox and filler and stuff,” she said.
“And then I had this massive stroke and a nine-day brain hemorrhage and I had to have over 300 shots of Botox and filler to make the one side of my face come up again.”
“I think I can probably speak for you and the rest of the female planet when I say that there’s a giant effort to make us not feel free and to feel oppressed,” Stone said.
“And I don’t go for it. I feel like this is the most exciting and creative period of my life. I feel really, really happy. I’ve never been this joyful.”
No matter how you might feel about cosmetic procedures, everyone has the right to feel happy about the skin they are in.
So long as Stone is happy and healthy, that’s all that really matters in the end!
