Justin Bieber Fires Back At PETA For Criticizing His $35,000 Exotic Kittens

Justin Bieber has had a big month. He's releasing new music, he's celebrating one year of marriage to Hailey Baldwin, he just threw a second wedding for that aforementioned marriage, and he's told animal rights activist group PETA to "suck it."

Wait, what was that last one?

Let's back it up a bit. Justin and Hailey have adopted two adorable Savannah kittens named Sushi and Tuna, who have their own verified Instagram account because we live in a society where that's a normal thing to say.

Savannah cats are an exotic breed that cost anywhere from $15,000 to $20,000 to buy from a breeder.

That's a pretty penny for a pretty kitty, but the Biebers definitely have that kind of cash to spare, so no big deal for them, right?

Wrong.

PETA criticized Justin in a public statement.

The statement read, "Baby, baby, baby, nooooooo. Justin Bieber could inspire his fans around the world to save a life by adopting a cat from a local animal shelter—rather than fueling the dangerous demand for hybrid cats, contributing to the animal overpopulation crisis, and proving that when it comes to helping animals, his stance so far is 'I don't care.'"

Justin caught wind of their criticism and fired back on his Instagram story.

Initially, his response as short and sweet. "PETA can suck it," he wrote. "PETA go focus on real problems," he added in another post. "Like poaching, and animal brutality."

"Ur tripping because I want a specific kind of cat?"

"U weren't tripping when I got my dog Oscar and he wasn't a rescue... every pet we get must be a rescue? I believe in adopting rescues but also think there are preferences and that's what breeders are for," he finished.

Whose side are you on?

Do you think Justin should have rescued cats instead of going to a breeder? Or do you think it's his prerogative to get whatever kind of cat he wants to from whatever source he wants?

Personally, I'll always go for a rescue, but I also don't have $15k to drop on a cat. So maybe I'm biased.
