My goodness, that statement raises a lot of questions.
What is Pennywise? In the book he's some sort of fear God or something... what does that make Mary Poppins? She's not human?

Specifically, the user u/HumanoidMold5 said that Pennywise the clown (from It) and Mary Poppins (from Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, kidding it's the Mary Poppins from Mary Poppins Returns) are two members of the same species.
And... it kind of makes sense.
They only come around once every twenty or so years (Mary comes 25 years after the fact, Pennywise comes every 27 years).
They often visit the children they had before, even when they become adults.
That one seems like an odd coincidence, does it not?
They both use their powers based on what's in the children's minds.
The parents of the children are oblivious to the fantastical situations their kids are going through.
Well, all the characters float off on balloons.
And we all know who likes it when children float.
