You know what they say, “fashion comes and goes”, and I have to say sometimes I’m very glad that is the case. There are a few trends of the past decade that need to go away forever never to be seen in the light of day. LOL!
I bet you have a few of those yourself, huh? Let’s take a look down the memory lane at the regrettable trends from the 2010s.
1. High-Waisted Pants
Honestly, this was never my favorite trend. In fact I absolutely loathe this look. It’s so unflattering and need I say, uncomfortable. Am I right or what?
2. High-Waisted Shorts
If you thought high-waisted pants were bad you must’ve really hated its sister trend the high-waisted shorts. Ugh. That’s even worse. No thanks. I can’t stand those.
3. Tiny Sunglasses
Correct me if I’m wrong, but I thought the point of sunglasses was to protect your eyes from UV rays. How are these supposed to do that?
4. Wedge Sneakers
I was never a fan of sneakers until I found a few comfy pairs to wear that also look cute. This defeats the purpose to me.
5. Harem Pants
I have to admit the first time I saw a guy wearing these, I was like W*F? And it never got better for me since then.
6. Leggings Under Shorts
If you’re like five-years-old, this look might totally be for you. But if you’re a grown-up I just don’t get it. Seriously!
7. Feather Hair Extensions
I bet these were pretty groovy back in the ’70s. But when they re-emerged in the 2010s they just didn’t have the appeal since they are considered cultural appropriation.
8. Ripped Jeans
Here’s another trend I never jumped on. I mean I can tolerate a little rip on the jeans but the full-on ripped effect is lost on me.
9. Flower Crowns
I can totally understand if you’re wearing this when you’re getting married. It’s so fitting then. But why wear it any other time? I have no idea.
10. Crop Tops
It seems that crop tops keep appearing in almost every decade but I just don’t understand why. Although, I did wear one in my early 20s. LOL!
11. Normcore
Apparently we’ve got Jerry Seinfeld to blame for this fashion trend. To me, it’s just so plain and boring. I wouldn’t even call it fashion at all.
12. Google Glass
First of all, I dunno how anyone can walk around wearing this thing that is totally distracting them. And second of all, we just don’t need it. Do we?
13. Designer Parody Shirts
This trend was first introduced as a way to make fun of all the pricey designer labels. Then, the labels started making their own expensive versions. So dumb!
14. Patterned Leggings
Yes, we went crazy for leggings in the 2010s and maybe we took this trend too far. Stores pumped out these stretchy pants in every print and color imaginable.
So which fashion trend from the last 10 years, are you happy to see go away forever?
I’m on board with all of these disappearing, never to be seen again.
