As long as I can remember, I’ve always wanted to have long hair. There’s something about long, flowing locks that I find so attractive.
But now that I do have a long mane, I have a love and hate relationship with it. Some days I’m absolutely thrilled with my hair and others I just want to chop it off. Do you feel me?
1. The Wind Situation
Seriously, that’s pretty much me every time I try to pose for a nice photo outdoors. Nowadays, before I leave the house I have to check how windy it is and then adjust my hair situation accordingly.
1. Long Hair Vs. Lipgloss
And speaking of a long hair dilemma on a windy day, combine it with wearing lipgloss and it’s pretty much a recipe for disaster here. Unless you love having lipgloss all over your mane.
3. It Gets Stuck Everywhere
This is no joke. I can’t tell you how often my hair gets stuck somewhere on a daily basis. I need to tie it up before I can make dinner unless I want to eat hair.
4. The Zipper Problem
Have you ever been in a rush while putting on that hoodie with a zipper? Yeah, that’s not fun when you’ve got long hair. Try yanking that mess out of it. I dare you. LOL!
5. This Reality
When you gotta tie up your hair so it doesn’t get in your food, ha, ha! We actually used to do that to my cocker spaniel. Now I know how she felt all her life. OMG! Too funny.
6. This Fact
Seriously, this is one of the reasons I don’t wash my hair every day. I honestly, don’t need an arm workout that bad. It’s hard enough getting ready for a date. Am I right?
7. The Ponytail Struggles
Every time you try to put your hair up in a bun it reminds you of the Leaning Tower of Pisa. I hear you, girl. This is exactly why I want to chop it off already.
8. Long Hair Vs. A Convertible
I absolutely love riding in convertibles or cars with rolled down windows. There’s nothing like the wind in your hair… Oh, who are we kidding here? I absolutely loathe it. I’m just faking it!!!
9. This Never-Ending Equation
This is exactly why I always need to know my plans a few days ahead. I mean, I need to plan out my hair washing schedule perfectly. Otherwise, I’m pretty much screwed. I’m not kidding here.
10. This Zen Moment
Maybe I should be thanking my long hair for this ritual I need to do after every wash. After all, everybody needs their zen moments from time to time. No? This is why I’m always late for something.
11. This Truth
Honestly, this is always my response when my fiancé tells me my hair looks good. Ha, ha! The reality is that managing long hair is enough work to just wash it and dry it. That’s it. End of story.
12. The Hate Of Elastics
The next time somebody hands me a regular elastic I’m gonna throw a fit. I mean, you just don’t understand why we need special tools to tie our hair. I don’t have time for this.
13. Finding The Perfect Brush Dilemma
I can’t tell you how many combs and brushes I have gone through to tame my wild, long hair. It would be a pretty long and boring story. Why can’t they all be made equal? Really.
Seriously, this is exactly why I think of chopping my hair off every single day.
There’s absolutely no relief here whether it’s winter or summer. Either way, it’s a pain the butt to get it tamed. I should just give in.
