Do you often admire pictures posted on Instagram by all those travel influencers? Don’t they always look absolutely perfect, picturesque, and totally crowd-free?
Well, they do for a reason. Usually, those people either get to those popular destinations very early in the morning right before the place opens or even get invited on a private tour. Here’s the reality of it all.
1. Instagram: Great Wall Of China
Wow, this picture makes me really want to visit the Great Wall Of China. Having this vast space all to yourself must be amazing.

If you show up at any time of the day that isn’t super early in the morning this is what you will actually encounter.
2. Instagram: Besakih Temple, Bali
I’ve seen so many pictures of this famous place in Ubud, Bali and it’s been making me so jealous. I wanna go there so bad.

From what I’ve been told by travel enthusiasts, there’s a huge line to get your perfect picture of the Besakih Temple so prepare for waiting.
3. Instagram: Pyramids Of Giza
Wow, I can’t get over how stunning this picture is. The sky and the pyramid are completely coming to life here. I dream of Egypt.

There’s such a booming business going around the majestic pyramids of Giza with camel rides and tour guides trying to cash in. Better go early.
4. Instagram: Mount Everest
It must be so surreal to get to climb one of the most famous mountains in the world. This is both breathtaking and such an accomplishment.

But then the reality is that you’re not the only one who has ever wanted to climb this mountain and you must get in line. Wow.
5. Instagram: Spanish Steps, Rome
I remember strolling on the Spanish Steps in Rome when it wasn’t all that crowded but that was over 10 years ago. LOL!

Not much privacy going on here if you show up at the wrong time of the day. Wow, I’ve never seen it this crowded.
6. Instagram: Stonehenge Sunset
Apparently, it’s quite a thing to see the ancient Stonehenge during the sunset. Just check out this stunning view. That must be something to see.

But unless you get yourself there on a private tour you might actually encounter this. Oh, this is not what I had in mind at all.
7. Instagram: Taj Mahal, India
This amazing mausoleum in India is definitely so picturesque. It’s no wonder everyone wants to see it. It looks absolutely stunning here, doesn’t it?
