'Mythbusters' Cast Remembers Jessi Combs After Her Tragic Death: 'We Are Lesser For Her Absence'

Yesterday the tragic news broke that 36-year-old professional racer Jessi Combs had died in a tragic car crash on Tuesday, while attempting to set a new land speed record.

Comb's "Mythbusters" cast members have since shared their condolences on social media.

"You're a legend Jessi and I will miss you my friend," wrote Tory Belleci.

Combs’ team member Terry Madden shared an emotional Instagram post on Wednesday night, along with a video of the two.

Madden confirmed he was the first on the scene that day, "I was the first one there and trust me we did everything humanly possible to save her!!!"

"She was the most amazing spirit that I have ever or will ever know."

"Love you all and thank you all for being such amazing friends to her, she dedicated her life to helping support others dreams and I promise I will continue to do that."

Former "Mythbusters" host Adam Savage expressed his grief on Twitter.

"She was a brilliant & too-notch builder, engineer, driver, fabricator, and science communicator, & strove everyday to encourage others by her prodigious example. She was also a colleague, and we are lesser for her absence."

"Mythbusters" host Kari Byron also shared her condolences on Twitter.

"So sad to hear about Jessi. She was a badass. Always pushing limits. Sending smiles into the universe for her."
