Amazon Leak Suggests 'The Boys' Season 3 Is Set To Premiere On June 3

With how ubiquitous superhero movies have been in recent years, it's become pretty easy to start getting tired of them.

And that sentiment may have something to do with the popularity of The Boys, a comic adaptation that follows a vigilante group dedicated to hunting superheroes with far darker intentions than their squeaky-clean public images would suggest.

And as is always the case when a show picks up the kind of buzz this smash hit has enjoyed, fans have hotly anticipated the release of its third season.

But up until now, it's been up in the air as to when that would happen, especially in the wake of the uncertainty the COVID-19 pandemic has brought about.

However, one apparent leak suggests that they finally have a date to hang their capes on.

After teasers going back as far as February of 2021, Amazon Prime has released a promotional teaser indicating that The Boys and the Supes they hate will return on June 3, 2022.

According to Bloody Disgusting, this was apparently revealed in an accidental leak thanks to a teaser intended for Brazilian audiences.

And while the clip you're about to see doesn't reveal much, it seems this release date was one of the last pieces of the puzzle.

Stormfront actress Aya Cash has been coy about the fate of her social media-savvy extremist character, but it's clear that season 3 will have much to do with the aftermath of her fall.

As Cash told Entertainment Weekly, "I think they've left the door open, but I also feel like there's not much left of her. She's not technically dead, but I think you'll just have to see season 3 to find out what happened to her, if she's going to be around at all in her smaller form."

One thing we do know, however, is that The Boys can expect to have to deal with the group of right-wing zealots known as the Stormchasers she's inspired.

And while the teaser makes it clear that we can expect the return of Homelander's increasingly unhinged son Ryan, that's not all.

Indeed, we'll see a lot of new faces in the form of a new team of Supes called Payback.

And one of the most exciting prospects for fans is the introduction of the team's leader, Soldier Boy. He's considered the first superhero who was active during World War II and he's set to be played by Supernatural star Jensen Ackles.

Fans can also expect the introduction of a Russian mobster named Little Nina and the return of the superhumanly well-endowed Love Sausage, but it seems these details are just the tip of the iceberg.
