Jada Pinkett Smith Gets Candid About Her Hair Loss Caused By Alopecia

Jada Pinkett Smith is undeniably one of the most beautiful women in Hollywood. I know, right? Can I win an award for the most obvious statement ever? Did you all hear — the sky is blue, too!

While I could rave on and on about what an awesome actress, mother, wife, and talk show host Jada is, today we're going to be chatting about her recent IG video in regards to her hairloss.

Jada Pinkett Smith is getting candid with fans about her hair-loss in a new video posted to her Instagram.

The 50-year-old has been open with fans about her journey with alopecia — an autoimmune disorder that attacks hair follicles.

"Mama’s gonna have to take it down to the scalp so nobody thinks she got brain surgery or something," she captioned the video.

"Me and this alopecia are going to be friends … period!"

In the video, the actress, wife and mom of two explains how she handles the emotional experience of hair-loss.

"Now at this point, I can only laugh. Y’all know I’ve been struggling with alopecia and just all of a sudden one day, look at this line right here. Look at that," she says, showing her scalp to the camera.

"But you know mama’s going to put some rhinestones in there," she joked.

"I’m going to make me a little crown. That’s what mama’s going to do."

Fans were loving Jada's attitude towards her experience and left supportive comments for the 50-year-old.

"gorgeous as always… it’s your tiara spot!" wrote one fan.

"I love that," said another.

I love seeing Jada's spirit shine through the screen — I'm sure she's helping lots of women feel comfortable in the skin they're in.
