Mom's Brilliant Hack Has Her Christmas Tree Perfectly Set Up In Minutes

Christmas hacks are the key to keeping you sane during the holidays.

Any little tip that can save you time during the busiest time of the year is a good one. That's why @heatherd5215's Christmas tree hack is a potential life-saver — she found a way to set up her family's Christmas tree in minutes!

We all know how time-consuming it is to assemble the tree, fluff the branches, get the ornaments out, reminisce over the emotional meaning behind each one, and then decide where they go on the tree.

This hack skips all of that.

This is a saran wrapped Christmas tree. I know, I know. But stay with me here, because Heather might be onto one of the best Christmas hacks I've ever seen.

She and her family unwrapped the tree together.

It didn't take them too long. Obviously, they skipped out on using scissors or a knife, thanks to all the ornaments. Instead, they carefully unwrapped it from floor to ceiling, finishing up with the star!

The finished tree is beautiful.

After Heather posted her hack, a lot of users wanted to see what the full tree looked like! I think this is an amazing tree. It's immaculately decorated, and the color palette is the most Christmas-y thing I've ever seen.

At first, many commenters thought the tree was actually food.

This delighted Heather, who actually made a follow up video of her out at a restaurant, where she was tucking into a meal of tacos. I absolutely love the quiet hilarity of her response to this. EVERYONE wanted some al pastor after that video.

Others pointed out how genius it was.

Yeah, it could take away the fun... if putting up ornaments was fun. Listen, if you genuinely think decorating the tree is a fun activity, good for you! I find it to be a pain in my butt, so Onyx here speaks for me.

However, the reason she did it was heartbreaking.

Heather explained in the comments that her late son helped her decorate the tree the year before. She preserved his work by saran wrapping the tree. His work is still with them, even if he isn't.

As it turns out, other people have done this hack!

It's a sweet way to save the work of someone who is no longer here. I've never heard of this hack before, but I now think it's absolutely brilliant and way more heartfelt than I thought it could be!

What do you think?
