Sandra Bullock's Story About Keanu Reeves Bringing Her The Sweetest Gift Is Melting Hearts

Do you know what objective truth is? It's a term used for something that can't be refuted based on subjective or contextual circumstances. Things like gravity, how the earth revolves around the sun, and finally — the greatness of Keanu Reeves.

Just when you think that it's impossible to love the guy any more than you already do, yet another layer of the onion is peeled back. Have a look and see how Keanu Reeves is once again melting hearts for a romantic gesture he pulled with Sandra Bullock.

At this point in time, everyone is well aware of the living legend that is Keanu Reeves.

It's no exaggeration to say that Keanu has risen to become one of the biggest movie stars of his era.

His name has become synonymous with that of an action hero.

This is all thanks to his iconic roles in 'The Matrix' and 'John Wick' franchises.

But long before Neo and John Wick came along, the world was first introduced to Jack Traven.

The year was 1994...

And the movie was Speed: a fast-paced action-thriller about a bus that couldn't slow down.

Keanu played a rough-around-the-edges S.W.A.T. officer named Jack Traven, tasked with saving a runaway busload of people from a mad bombers plot.

While filming 'Speed', Keanu became close friends with his fellow co-star — Sandra Bullock.

Rumors were swirling that Keanu and Sandra were more than just friends, but both she and Keanu refute those claims to this day.

Sandra has always maintained that a romantic relationship would have risked spoiling a beautiful friendship.

Recently, in an interview with 'Esquire', Sandra revealed a story about Keanu Reeves that's been seldom heard.

And man, my heart is so warm from it.

Roughly a year after Speed came out, Keanu and Sandra were hanging out, shooting the breeze, and getting reacquainted with one another.

At one point in the conversation, the topic wandered to champagne and truffles.

Sandra told Keanu that she'd never once had either of these coveted delicacies.

“Really?” Keanu asked, sounding surprised. “Nope — never had ’em,” Bullock answered matter-of-factly. That was it; nothing more.

The two friends continued chatting and eventually parted ways.

After a few days had passed, Sandra found herself sitting in her living room with a girlfriend.

Sandra makes sure to point out that this was the first home she ever owned.

As she and her girlfriend sat painting their nails, there came the low rumble of an engine bounding up the driveway.

When she went to the door to investigate, she discovered Keanu waiting on the porch holding flowers, champagne, and truffles.

“I just thought you might want to try Champagne and truffles, to see what it’s like,” Keanu said to Sandra. Taken aback, she happily invited him inside.

Sandra said that Keanu even agreed to have his nails painted — jet-black, just like hers.

After a short visit, Keanu gathered his things, said his goodbyes, and went about his evening.

Sandra told 'Esquire' that's all part of Keanu's mystique.

“That’s what I mean that it drives you crazy,” Bullock said.

“When I first met him, I would spend as much time as I could filling a silence, just to feel comfortable."

"And the more I jibber-jabbered on, the quieter he would get."

People everywhere were blown away by Sandra's story, but not at all surprised by Keanu's thoughtfulness.

As fans no doubt already know, Keanu's kindness isn't reserved for the people he knows.

He's been spotted giving up his seat on public transit for elderly passengers on multiple occasions.

"Keanu and Jason Momoa are two of the greatest examples of healthy masculinity in the public eye today," Twitter user @MorgainePen1 said.

If that's not the truth, I really don't know what is.

It's difficult to argue otherwise.

Time and time again Keanu Reeves has shown himself to be the epitome of a gentleman as well as a selfless and kind human being.

One thing is for certain, we need more men like him.
