Little-Known Dishwasher Feature Gets Cutlery Cleaner Than That Annoying Basket

Let me ask you something. What is your least favorite household chore? If it's loading and emptying the dishwasher, you better sit down for this.

I'm not sure how familiar you are with your dishwasher, but chances are you may or not be aware of all its features. So let me enlighten you on at least one of them. Let's go.

Okay, so first of all, if you have a dishwasher, you're already ahead of me.

I'm just washing my dishes by hand here, hee-hee! But it's okay. I'm used to it, so it's not that bad. I am a little envious, though.

Let's get back to the task at hand.

We're talking about simplifying your use of the dishwasher, right? You're in luck then. I recently stumbled upon this TikTok video that enlightened a few people. I wonder if it can do that for you too.

What do you typically use the top drawer of your dishwasher for, huh?

Is it for larger utensils? Well, that's fine, and all but you can use it for something else too. How about your forks and knives? What do you think of that idea?

Yes, that's right.

That's exactly what this lady in the video did here. She placed all her forks and knives in the individual compartments in the top drawer. And get this, she claims that doing it this way gets them sparkly clean.

No Way! Who knew? Am I right?

You've got to check this video out. Yes, I know it seems like a lot of work. But she just did this slowly to show us how to do it. I'm sure you can do it much quicker.

I'm not surprised that this video became so popular.

It seems that not many people knew about this dishwasher technique after all. It's really cool of her to share it with all of us, no? This is such a handy tip for anybody with a similar dishwasher.

Some people even prefer this concept to the old basket idea.

At least you don't have to keep bending over to fill it. This way, everything is at the right level. That's way easier on your back. At least, I think so.

However, it seems that not everybody has the patience for it.

I get it. Our lives are busy enough. I don't know if I would place each one of these individually. I might just toss them all in there, ha, ha!

So what do you think of this dishwasher loading technique?

Is this something you would take the time to do? Do you think it's worth it? Heck, if it gets the cutlery sparkling, then perhaps it's worth a try. I have a better idea though, get your husband to do it, ha, ha!
