Spanx Boss Gifts Staff $10,000 And Two First Class Tickets To Go Anywhere

There are many managers out there who like to think of themselves as the best boss on the planet.

However, Sara Blakely has recently put herself as the frontrunner for this title thanks to a recent announcement that she would be awarding all of her staff a very special gift this year!

Sara Blakely is the founder of Spanx.

Blakely's company, Spanx, was recently given a value of 1.2 billion dollars following a large investment to the company.

In order to celebrate this great news for the comany, Blakely decided to reward all of her staff in a truly spectacular way.

Blakely announced that she would be giving all of her staff $10, 000 and two first class plane tickets.

The first class plane tickets were able to be used to take the staff anywhere that they wanted. Blakely gathered all of her staff together in order to thank her staff for their work.

In the now-viral video, she said:

"To stand here today, and [think] about what we've been able to create and what we’ve been able to do by being authentic and kind and delivering amazing products to women to use their very feminine principles in a very masculine space which is business, leading with intuition, vulnerability […] this marks a moment for female entrepreneurs."

Blakely started Spanx back in 2005 with just $5, 000 in her savings.

In her social media post, Blakely tearfully explains that she told people her company would one day be worth $20 million when she first started out, only for people to laugh at her.

"This is a very big moment for each and every one of you [...] and I want to toast the women that came before me and all of the women in the world who have not had this opportunity," Blakely also went on to say.

Blakely also took the time to advocate for more funding for female entrepreneurs.

The announcement of what Blakely has done for her hard-working staff has received widespread praise, with many people taking the social media to congratulate her on valuing her staff so much.

Here's hoping the staff enjoy their holidays...I mean, you'd be hard pushed not to, right?!
