The Love Story Of Kelly Ripa And Mark Consuelos Is Absolutely Beautiful

For 25 years, Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos have been the very definition of relationship goals.

It all began in 1995 when they met on the set of All My Children. Since then, they've eloped, had three children, started a production company, and shared a lot of PDA.

We can clearly learn a lot from these two. Come journey down their epic love story!

1995: They meet on the set of *All My Children*

ABC

Believe it or not, Kelly was the one to audition Mark.

The soap opera was looking for a dark-haired Latino actor to play her character's husband. It was love at first sight when the casting director showed her Mark's picture.

"When I saw him, the photograph of him, I saw my entire future with him flash [my eyes]," she told Andy Cohen in 2018.

"Like, I saw it. I [didn’t] believe in any of that and now I do because of that moment," she continued.

Sparks also flew for Mark. "I thought she was adorable, hot and sexy and all that stuff,” he told HuffPost Live.

1996: They go public with their relationship

After quietly dating for a while, they made their public debut as a couple at the Soap Opera Digest Awards on Valentine's Day.

But trouble soon hit when the couple broke up. While the couple never shared what broke them up, Mark did reveal on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen that it happened right before they got married.

At the time, they even had to do an appearance on *Live With Regis and Kathie Lee* together.

Awkward!

"When we were together (Ripa) wouldn’t talk to me and that made me go crazy,” he said.

"So I followed her in Central Park – I stalked her, and then we went back to my place, and then we got married the next day.”

1996: They elope

Consuelos proposed the plan one night while they were eating pizza and drinking wine.

He said, 'Let's go to Vegas tomorrow and get married." The pair eloped in Las Vegas on May 1, 1996, and then had their honeymoon in Italy.

Ripa wore a $199 dress to the ceremony.

"I didn't buy it as a wedding dress. I just bought it because it was really pretty, and I wanted to buy something from the Barney's Warehouse sale," she said in 2016.

She actually wore that same wedding dress to their 20th wedding anniversary trip.

June 1997: They welcome their first child

Michael Consuelos was born on June 2, 1997. They're also the proud parents of another son, Joaquin, and their daughter Lola.

All three children are off to college, which means that the couple are now empty-nesters.

November 2000-2007: They're both supportive of each other's careers

In 2000, Kelly nabbed the role of co-host alongside Regis Philbin.

A few years later, Consuelos guest-starred on 10 episodes of Ripa's ABC sitcom, Hope & Faith. The pair mixed business with pleasure even more when they founded the production company, Milojo.

2018: Their PDA reaches an awkward level

There's no denying that this couple loves their PDA. But their daughter Lola has walked in on them having some, erm, sexy time several times. Once, even on Lola's 18th birthday!

"You just ruined my birthday and my life," Lola said when this happened.

2019: Kelly joins Mark on an episode of *Riverdale*

Mark plays the villainous character, Hiram Lodge. Kelly joined her husband on the set to play his mistress.

For a couple that is very open about their sex life, we can imagine this kind of role-play really spiced things up!

2021: They celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary

"Happy 25th Anniversary to the love of my life @instasuelos in the blink of an eye,"Kelly wrote on Instagram.

"Because when you know, you know. Thank you for all of the dreams you made reality." She also shared photos from the photo album Consuelos gifted her.

We're not crying, you're crying!
