What's the worst way your dad has embarrassed you?
Was it his corny dad jokes or him showing baby pictures of you to your friends? Maybe he pulled out the ole shotgun to scare your high school boyfriend?
Whatever it was, it probably wasn't as bad as this one dad who went viral for publicly shaming his daughter in the worst way.
After one father discovered that his daughter had created a TikTok account to post videos of her twerking and “showing her buttocks," he banned her from making more.
He also forced her to post an apology video.
“Do those videos represent you? Is that you?" he said to her. "You’re an educated girl, you don’t have to go around showing your buttocks."
That's because they were disgusted with his behavior, saying that he is “infringing on her freedom of expression."
Others, however, agreed with him, saying that “if she decided to expose herself publicly, she should also repent publicly.”
The controversy involving dads, daughters, and twerking isn't over.
Another dad has recently gone viral for his public shaming of his daughter after she was caught twerking, among other things.
“My name is Arbree,” the poster reads. “I like to sneak out of the house at night to meet older guys and I post twerk videos. I’m only 15.”
Although, based on what's seen in the video, it appears that they are in the most public place of them all: a mall.
Since the video was posted, it's garnered 1 million views and over 13,000 comments.
“My respect for the dad," one comment which had 32,000 likes read. “He’s teaching her a good lesson," added another. It's highly unlikely she'll participate in those kinds of activities after that.
“She’s going to remember this shame well into adulthood and probably never close to him again,” one person wrote. “That’s not how you parent,” another said.
Some argued that the father is not looking at the big picture here, and that's that his daughter is getting groomed by older men.
Users argued that it's them the father should be furious at and shaming publicly.
“What he really should be doing is holding those older men accountable for (their) actions on a 15 YEAR OLD,” another wrote.
Those who thought this parenting tactic is okay were shamed themselves.
