We All Judge People, So People Are Sharing What They Judge Others For

Human beings are imperfect by nature. We acknowledge the flaws in ourselves and in others, but sometimes we have a hard time letting things go.

If we're all being honest with ourselves, there are times that we judge people. So now, people have begun sharing just what it is that they tend to judge others for.

When someone pees on the toilet seat and doesn't clean it up.

I don't mean to single you out, gentlemen, but you know who you are. I swear to god ever since my fiancee and I moved in together I've started to pee sitting down just in order to avoid an argument.

When people FaceTime in public.

Unsplash | Harry Cunningham

Why is it that FaceTime calls always seem to turn into screaming matches? I just don't get it. Isn't that what earbuds are for? And why is it always the way that the more personal phone call is, the louder they tend to talk?

People who text or talk during a movie.

I know it's been a while since we've all been able to enjoy a movie inside at the theaters, so now is probably a good time to review some simple etiquette. When the lights go down, the phone goes away. It's as simple as that.

Not wearing shoes in public places.

So I'm totally on board when it comes to change rooms, water parks, etc. — but I'd be lying if I said that I wasn't the first person to kick off his shoes on an airplane.

When someone insults someone for trying their best.

"I immediately judge you if you make fun of someone who's trying. I saw someone make fun of an overweight classmate despite the fact that he was doing diets, running, and exercising." - Reddit u/as3211

When people don't wash their hands after going to the bathroom.

Unsplash | Mélissa Jeanty

Redditor ZombifiedRacoon says that they judge people who use the bathroom and return without washing their hands. Hopefully, in a post-pandemic world, we won't be encountering this very often.

Littering.

I think that we can all come to a collective agreement that in 2021 — there is absolutely no excuse for littering. That goes double for all you car-smokers out there. Whenever I see a lit butt fly out the car window ahead of me I want to scream.

People who don't return their shopping carts.

Unsplash | Markus Spiske

"I'm not always silent about it, but people at my local supermarket who refuse to return their shopping carts, but instead leave them to roll into other cars whenever the next wind gust comes along." - Reddit u/IrianJaya

Not using a turn-signal while driving.

Unsplash | Clem Onojeghuo

"Not using a turn signal when driving," Reddit user Miss_Psychopants said. "It's not that hard, and it's pretty arrogant to not use one."

Also, using the signal after you've already made the turn! Like, seriously — what's the freaking point?

People who don't tip.

I'll be the first person to admit that tipping culture in North America has gotten out of hand. That being said, you never outright stiff a server. You don't have to tip 20% but you have to at least leave behind 15%.

When a person starts eating groceries that they haven't paid for.

You don't have free reign to sample and snack on items that you haven't paid for. Eat before you arrive at the store or just have the human decency to wait until you get home to gorge yourself on grapes.

Putting down your significant other.

"When partner in a couple is publicly mean to the other partner in the couple, but not in a funny context, purely to put them down kinda context. That's like scratching your own car. You lose my respect instantly. It's just sad." - Reddit u/hystericalmiracle

People who never manage to show up on time.

Unsplash | Chris Wade

"Anyone who adopts a "whatever" policy to being late," writes Reddit user Trumpetking93. "I freak out when I'm late for something, and it absolutely blows my mind when people just don't care."

When people post political rants on social media.

What I really love to see is when people post conspiracy theories about Bill Gates or Mark Zuckerberg on Facebook without the slightest glint of irony. Do they seriously not see the hypocrisy in their actions? And why do they think anyone actually cares?

People who don't clean up after their own pet.

Have you ever gone to collect your garbage can only to find someone has left a poo bag at the bottom for you to find? I can't stand that.

Would you be alright with me relieving myself in your recycling bins? I don't think so. So stay away from my cans!

Hogging the elevator

"Customers in my work who walk right past the escalators and the stairwell to use the lift when they appear to have nothing wrong with them. It makes all the people with prams or wheelchairs etc have to wait even longer and forms massive queues." u/Mcachead

How dirty the sink is

"If you invite me over to your house and we're chatting in the kitchen, I will judge you on the shininess of your sink and whether you have any dirty pots out" u/RedBanana99

Not liking cats

I am definitely part of this crowd!

Unless you're allergic or were attacked, why do you not like cats or dogs for that matter? It just seems a little suspicious.

Making weird noises when you eat

I feel like this is one that not everyone can control, but apparently, a lot of people secretly judge other people for it!

So make sure you're chewing with your mouth closed, and do it quietly!

Where you might be parking

"Parking in front of the doors or at the front curb of the shopping center, grocery store, etc. That is a fire lane, not a sloth's parking area. The walk from 20 feet away won't kill you. For those who genuinely need it there are handicapped spaces!" u/dead_in_the-boot

Art

Unsplash | Content Pixie

"Having no art on their walls, or having bad art on their walls. I even peek into peoples' homes when I walk around my neighborhood, just to see what they have on the wall. I'm an art teacher and exhibiting photographer." u/mikeymikeymikey1968

Talking smack behind someone's back.

Unsplash | Ben White

Chances are, you have done this at least once.

I absolutely believe that, especially when you were a teenager, you definitely talked behind someone's back.

The turning signal

When you don't use your indicators to show whoever is behind you or next to you that you want to change lanes...you're being judged by quite a few users apparently.

Not moving aside

Unsplash | Sharon McCutcheon

"People who pay with cash and once the transaction is complete, take their time and don't move out of the way while putting their change back into their purse/wallet. At least move to the side." u/xtyxtbx

Not answering serious messages.

Unsplash | Alexander Shatov

"People who insist on checking in on fb when they are at the hospital or at a doctors surgery, or writing a status complaining about how they have been waiting at the doctors surgery, and then evade answering when someone finally gives them what they want and asks 'whats wrong'." u/yeezus-101

Smelling bad.

"My fiance has this friend who always, always smells bad. Like a mix of BO and mildew. I know he bathes cause he never has greasy hair or anything, he just always stinks for some reason. He's a nice guy but I dislike him for this reason alone." u/deleted

Parents not taking responsibility.

Unsplash | Bill Oxford

"Deadbeat parents that refuse to take responsibility for taking care of their children. My uncle's wife had to take my uncle to court for child support and they are MARRIED. Absolutely disgusting." u/disillusionedideals

When there's fitness advice being thrown around.

Unsplash | Jonathan Borba

This is one that I can definitely relate to.

Unsolicited nutritional or fitness advice especially from people who aren't trained professionals is definitely something that gets under my skin.

Geek culture

Unsplash | Craig Sybert

People within the "geek culture" who basically have no personalities or interests of their own.

Although, the argument can be made that it's okay to turn your interests into your personality!

List Item #30

"Driving, there's a different between putting a car in Drive and moving a steering wheel, and actually knowing how to DRIVE.

People that ride on the left lane as they please.. simply don't know how to drive, same for people that can't parallel park." u/Fiasko21

Gauged ears.

Unsplash | Jen Theodore

One person said that they were not at all fans of the gauged ear fashion.

Remember everyone, at the end of the day, it's your body, so to each their own. And even if you hate it, don't tell the other person.
