Moms have so many words of wisdom to share, that sometimes, we overlook the most meaningful ones. Growing up, my mom always shared with me, "they're not you" whenever I was upset or unhappy about the way someone else treated me.

Basically, reminding me that my heart is not the same as theirs and they may not do what I would do.

Now, Reddit users are also sharing their "mom catchphrases" that important and special.

"My mom’s always been an avid gardener and whenever I felt down growing up she’d always say “Water the flowers, not the weeds."
