Women Dropping F-Bombs Yell At Gay Couple For Kissing Because Children Were Present

It's officially June which means that pride month is in full swing all over the world.

The month-long celebration is to recognize individuals in the LGBTQ+ community and celebrate that love is love. While many places and organizations globally recognize pride month and celebrate alongside as allies and members of the community, not everyone is so kind and accepting of people and their preferences.

Recently, a video went viral on Twitter showcasing some serious homophobia and bias.

Needless to say, something like this makes headlines quickly.

The viral video, which originally appeared on Instagram, was reshared by @DLamontJenkins on Twitter.

In the video, a woman and her friends are being "shamed" out of Kimpton Hotel pool in Sacramento.

This was after reports indicated that they verbally accosted a woman for kissing her girlfriend with children present.

The woman approached Domonique Veasley, a Black queer woman, and her girlfriend, and asked them to stop kissing in the pool.

Reports on the situation indicate that Veasley and her girlfriend were not the "only couple showing PDA" in the pool.

However, the women approached them multiple times before they eventually called security on them to have them thrown out.

People at the pool turned the cards on the woman instead, chanting "shame" until the group left entirely.

Veasley, who spoke to CBS Sacramento about the incident, said that it could've been a teaching moment for the children.

Veasley said:

“It would’ve been a beautiful moment for her to teach about love to her kids but instead she decided to sexualize two women. This is not okay anymore, it’s 2021,”

After the video went viral, the woman released a statement from her lawyer saying the story is false.

In the statement released, the woman claims that Veasley and her girlfriend were not only kissing but were having "sexual intercourse" in the pool in front of everyone, even children.

However, people present have refuted these claims and said that it was absolutely not the case.

So, the question becomes, who will you believe: the people showing their homophobia or the people in the pool booing them out?

Arthur Kaligos the person who recorded the video had this to say about it:

“We’ve seen this over and over again,” he said. “It’s not okay to ask people to adjust their behavior for your comfort.”
