Lego Reminds Us Everyone Is Awesome With An Inclusive New Set To Celebrate Pride Month

After years of skipping pride, Lego has finally released their first LGBTQIA+-inspired set! With 346 pieces, this colorful and inclusive set is an important reminder that everyone is awesome. Let's check it out ahead of its June 1 launch date (just in time for Pride Month!)

The set includes everyone.

It uses the updated pride flag, which features black and brown stripes for BIPOC queer people, as well as the colors of the trans flag. It's absolutely stunning.

The set is called "Everyone is Awesome."

A riff on the classic song "Everything is Awesome" from The Lego Movie, "Everyone is Awesome." It even has matching minifigs! This is such a heartwarming thing to see.

According to Lego, it was past time they did this.

"Being LGBTQIA+ myself, I knew I needed to step up to the plate and make a real statement about love and inclusivity, and generally spread some Lego love to everybody who needs it," Lego's Vice President of Design, Matthew Ashton, wrote in a blog post.

As a grown adult, I can confirm I 100% want this.

People all over social media were incredibly excited LEGO finally branched out into pride! Kids and adults can see themselves in a treasured childhood toy for the first time.

You can preorder "Everyone is Awesome" for $34.99 on Lego's website.
