There's always going to be someone online waiting to criticize celebrities no matter what they do, even if they're just posting something as apparently innocuous as an announcement of a new baby in their family!
Alec Baldwin has responded to trolls who have done just that, and in typical Alec fashion, he didn't hold back!
Celebrated for his work in Beetlejuice, The Departed, 30 Rock, It's Complicated, Rock Of Ages, as well as for his role as Donald Trump on Saturday Night Live, Alec is definitely an actor with a large body of work.
He also has a large family!
Alec shares daughter Ireland Baldwin, 25, with ex-wife Kim Bassinger, and six children with his wife Hilaria, all under the age of 10!
Alec must have a lot of energy to keep up with those kids!
Sharing a photo of their entire family simply captioned "7," Hilaria eventually revealed the name of their new daughter, Lucia.
"We are so in love with our daughter, Lucia. Just like your brothers and sisters, you are a dream come true," she shared.
"Who's the mother? She wasn't pregnant. She gave birth six months ago. If it was a surrogate just say that. If the baby was adopted just say that," one fan wrote in the comments . "If you don't want to say anything — why don't you both stop constantly posting and begging for clickbait."
This comment caught Alec's attention, and he responded pretty bluntly: "You should shut the [expletive] up and mind your own business," he wrote.
"My first response was like, 'Yikes' but it's not my business and if they love and can support all of these children, then God bless them,"
To them Alec wrote, "I believe that people should simply say congratulations or shut the [expletive] up. That's it."
"I cannot have children and love watching the way they interact with theirs. as far as the Spanish, who cares, everyone I work with is Spanish and they call me Elena instead of Katie... I don't care why should anyone else. It is not pretending to be something, it is a personal preference," they wrote, referencing recent controversy surrounding Hilaria's nationality.
"Basically they're not very smart. Americans are people who know less about how to live a peaceful, healthy life than most of the civilized world," he wrote.
