Trump Goes After Rev. Al Sharpton With Claim That He ‘Hates Whites And Cops’

Just hours before a planned news conference in Baltimore featuring Reverend Al Sharpton and Maryland Lt. Gov. Michael Steele, President Trump has launched an attack against Rev. Sharpton via Twitter, doubling down on his controversial comments regarding Baltimore.

Trump certainly didn't hold back.

"Al is a con man," he wrote this morning, "A troublemaker, always looking for a score...must have intimidated Comcast/NBC. Hates whites and cops!"

The tirade was continued with additional insults thrown at Baltimore leadership.

"Baltimore, under the leadership of Elijah Cummings, has the worst Crime Statistics in the Nation," Trump continued, "Next, Reverend Al will show up to complain and protest. Nothing will get done for the people in need. Sad!"

Just in case the first two tweets didn't get his point across well enough, Trump decided to really hit it home by attacking the reverend's character.

It just so happens that there was a mass shooting in California last night in which four people were killed and fifteen additional people were injured, but let's not talk about that.

It's much more pressing to attack Rev. Al Sharpton.

However, the reverend came back with a tweet of his own.

"Trump at NAN Convention 2006 telling James Brown and Jesse Jackson why he respects my work," Sharpton wrote, "Different tune now."

The tweet was accompanied by a photo of Trump at the event in question, doing, well, exactly what Rev. Sharpton said he was doing.

Trump has yet to respond regarding the photo.
