After Ryan Seacrest flew all the way to Miami to attend Jennifer Lopez's 50th birthday, he was refused entry.

After flying all the way to Miami, excited to make a grand entrance at Jennifer Lopez's extravagant 50th birthday party, he was not let past security.
Okay, so first of all, can we just discuss the fact that J-Lo is now 50 years old?

The woman doesn't look a day over 25. Don't @ me. She is an absolute freaking goddess.
Her hubby, Alex Rodriguez, gifted her a $140,000 2019 Porsche convertible.

That is one hell of a birthday gift.
On top of that, she had a towering birthday cake that was probably taller than me and worth way more.
There was gorgeous gold and white decor, a dance floor, and for the finale, fireworks.

The guest of honor showed up looking stunning as always, in a strappy, gold Versace gown.
Furthermore, she of course had an incredibly star-studded guest list.
Obviously. It's J-Lo.
A-listers only, amirite?
Some guests included her good friends Ashanti and DJ Khaled.
One celebrity, however, that was evidently not on the guest list, was Ryan Seacrest.

But just to clarify, he was apparently invited.
His name, somehow, just didn't end up on the list.
"So, she sent me an invitation, and I was like 'wow! I got a direct invitation!,'" Ryan said.

"It was cool," he went on. "It was like, an e-card, and it said 'Jen's 50th birthday' and it was all in gold."
"The catch was, it was in Miami."

"So I committed, but I didn't read the small print," he continued.
"And I realize, oh I've got to— it was a school night — to go to Miami is like — well listen, I've known her for a long time, I'm going."
"I'm getting down there!" he said.
"I'm gonna get back in time. I'm gonna go there because I got the personal invite."
So, clearly, Ryan was prepared to go completely out of his way to get to J-Lo's birthday party — which is exactly what he did.
"I'm worried about a couple things," he explained. "Getting there and getting back, because we have to work early, there's weather on the East coast."

"But I crossed my fingers, I get down there an hour early for the party."
“So, I get there, very excited because she personally invited me,” Ryan said.

“So I get to the front and [the guy] has a list and I see there are a bunch of Ryans … and he says, ‘Well, you’re not on the list.’”
In disbelief, and probably embarrassment, Ryan asked to see the list.

“This is a true story," he continued. "So I say, ‘Cleary there must be a mistake … she invited me personally."
"'Can I see the list?,’" he asked.

"Well, sure enough … there’s no Ryan Seacrest.”
I feel worse for Ryan than I probably should. But I think we've all been in this position before. So I feel for him.
Ryan explained that he assumed the security guard would recognize him and put two and two together.

But instead, he instructed Ryan to "wait under the fan".
Eventually, the bouncer made a call and said "alright, you're good," and Ryan was finally let into the party threshold.

Only to find out he was the very first person to arrive at the party.
"I walk into the party — now it begins," he said. "I'm the first person there."
