People Are Criticizing The Rock For Working Out Instead Of Building His Daughter's Doll House

Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson is currently under fire from fans for choosing to hit the gym instead of helping his daughter build a two-story Barbie dollhouse.

But anybody with kids knows that balancing work and home-life is easier said than done.

People are dad-shaming The Rock and it's not okay.

After divorcing his first wife, whom he shares daughter, Simone with, The Rock was lucky enough to find love again with his current wife, Lauren Hashian, and continue to grow his family.

“I was so fortunate to have fallen in love once, to fall in love again? That’s a hard thing to do twice in the position I’m in. I’m one lucky son of a [expletive]," he said.

In 2015, he and Lauren welcomed their first daughter, Jasmine.

“Christmas came early! Within minutes of being born she was laying on daddy’s chest," he wrote on Instagram.

"And being a grateful man takes on a whole new meaning."

“I was right there during labor, helping her breathe, every highly intense contraction, every second of pain, right there watching the actual birth, cutting the cord and wiping the tears. Incredible,” he said

Adding: “As men, it’s a miracle we should witness because it’ll give you a whole new respect for the strength and beauty of a woman.”

In December of 2017, Dwayne and Lauren announced they were expecting another addition to their family.

Just when we thought they couldn't get any cuter — they did.

“Our Jasmine Lia would like to make a big announcement – IT’S A GIRL,” he captioned the photo.

“It’s a Girl! Can’t wait to be a big sister! And finally be the boss!”

“@laurenhashianofficial and I are boundlessly grateful for this blessing as this spring we’ll welcome our second baby," he continued.

"Plus, Jazzy is excited to boss around and protect her lil’ sis. And once again, big daddy is completely surrounded by beautiful estrogen and loving, powerful female mana. All girls. One dude. And a boy dog. I wouldn’t have it any other way."

Fast-forward to now, The Rock is now a proud father of three girls.

Simone, 17, Jasmine, three, and Tiana, one.

Although his eldest daughter is past the age of doll houses, he's not quite out of the woods yet — raising two toddlers.

The Rock posted a photo on Instagram, standing in what looks to be, his daughter's room.

"My 'On my way out the door to get my morning workout in before work and my 3yr old Jazzy says Daddy can you put together this Barbie house please' look," he captioned the photo.

"It’s a two story house. Of course, I can sweetheart - daddy can do anything," he continued.

"But let’s get mommy because she’s awesome at this and wanted to personally put it together for you."

Most fans that are also parents chimed in, gushing over how relatable his caption was.

"You and me both, nothing like the mommy in the world," one fan wrote.

"This is so me... all the time," another said.

"Any guy with kids knows exactly what you are talking about lol," someone else wrote.

"Well played sir," wrote another.

But other fans were less amused — criticizing The Rock for putting his workout before spending time with his daughter.

"Kids before workouts!! They won't be this small forever and I don't think you're gonna lose your muscles over one missed workout," someone commented.

"Missing one work out would not hurt you one bit build the house. Make a memory," another fan wrote.

Other fans pointed out that not everything should be put on Lauren.

But, to be fair, this was one photo. One example.

We don't really know what their parenting dynamic is like behind closed doors.

But we do know that Dwayne seems like an amazing father — so maybe we can cut him some slack, just this once.

Do you think he should have helped build his daughter's dollhouse instead of going to the gym?
