Fans have a lot of opinions on who should take the Iron Throne. For the most part, the debate is between Daenerys, who has worked her whole life toward this goal, and Jon who is the rightful heir.
Both have qualities that would allow them to rule efficiently over the realm.
The Fight for the Iron Throne is coming to a messy end.
The Iron Throne has been the talk of the kingdom since the very beginning.
Now that the show is coming to a quick end, fans are curious to see if Dany will live to take it, or if Jon will claim his rightful place on the throne.
Daenerys is already loved and respected by many.
The wonderful thing about Dany is that she already has hundreds of people behind her.
She has made her mark in the realm as being a ‘Breaker of Chains’.
Jon has empathy.
Jon has always shown the people who followed him kindness.
Many underestimated him because he is too noble for his own good, but it has worked out in his favor.
Dany is fearless.
Arguably the best thing, and the reason as to why fans adore her, is because she is brave.
Although she obviously experiences fear, she is never afraid to go into battle. Even when she thinks she will lose, she charges head first into a fight.
He’s a good leader, because he doesn’t want to lead.
This might actually make him a better ruler, in the long run.
Many men who did not want to lead ended up being good rulers, because their kindness and empathy allowed them to be a better fit for the people.
Unlike Jon, Daenerys actually wants to be queen.
No one is discounting Jon’s leadership abilities, but Dany actually wants the throne.
She has fought, suffered, and bled for it, so why shouldn’t she have it?
He’s always the last one standing.
While Dany has her dragons to help get out of harm’s way, Jon always has to rely on himself.
More often than not, that is enough, as he always comes out on the winning end.
She listens to what the people want.
Back when Dany had freed the slaves, they asked for her counsel. They informed her that some of them didn’t appreciate it because they were out of a job.
When she corrected her mistake, she gained more favor with the people.
He has people willing to follow him.
As we have seen from the last two episodes, even Dany’s people are willing to follow Jon into war.
His calm composure allows people to consider him a very capable ruler, as he doesn’t act on his emotions.
She is already a true ruler.
Dany is not afraid to make the hard decisions, nor is she afraid to show empathy.
She rules with an iron fist but also considers the people. She knows what it means to rule over a kingdom.
Jon doesn’t use fear to get people on his side.
Jon’s loving personality is what has allowed the Wildings to trust him, even though they didn’t know him.
The fact that he does not instill fear into those who follow him, would allow the people of his future kingdom to gladly be ruled by him.
Who will come out on top?
The end is near now, and fans are very interested to see who will come out on top.
