Of course, the internet always has to have an opinion on what new moms are doing and Snooki is just the latest celeb to feel the wrath of the mom-shaming army.
The reality TV star just gave birth to her third child a few days ago and in a postpartum update to fans, she was shamed for saying that she was looking forward to hitting the gym again once she healed. Yes, really.

She just recently gave birth to her third child, a baby boy named Angelo.
And by recently, we mean she gave birth like four days ago. Crazy, right? Thanks to social media we get to find out as soon as it happens these days.
It looks like Snooki’s older children have taken on the roles of big brother and big sister well.

She also shared this incredibly honest selfie and post about her postpartum body.
This photo was taken four days after she gave birth and Snooki told her fans that she was feeling great except for those uncomfortable postpartum cramps.
“Still healing but can’t wait to jump back into the gym hardcore this summer!” she said .
Online, trolls began body-shaming Snooki and attacking her for saying that she wanted hit the gym.
This Instagram user accused Snooki of sharing her photo purely to “show everyone how thin” she looked a few days after giving birth.
Others wondered why there is so much pressure for new moms to “bounce back”.
It’s true that we still place unrealistic expectations on new moms and their bodies, but I think Snooki was saying she wanted to go to the gym for her own health and fitness reasons.
Many of Snooki’s fans came to her defense.
Snooki’s fans were quick to point out that working out is healthy and that it has been her lifestyle choice for years now (GTL, anyone?).
Since sharing this photo, Snooki has responded to the backlash.
“Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but don’t attack me for wanting to become strong and fit again after my pregnancy,” she said in her Instagram post.
She also opened up about her current postpartum body.
“My boobs are leaking and pulsating, my butthole is sore and my cramps are unbearable & I’m still wearing a diaper the size of Texas,” she said. Um, did Snooki just become my new postpartum idol??
She ended her post by saying that she was allowed to look forward to moving past this postpartum stage and get back to the gym. Amen, Snooki! You tell those mom-shamers.
