Regrets are only regrettable if you don’t learn from them. Otherwise, those cringey moments when our choices lead to disaster are just experience. But still, it’s hard not to look back on the times when we knew we should have made a different decision and let it keep us up at night sometimes, isn’t it? Really bad decisions are just ghosts of our own making — but hopefully we can learn to laugh at them over time.
Of all the places to put the on/off switch on a fan, somebody put it behind the fan blades? For real?

I bet plenty of people got nipped in the finger turning it on — and then had to figure out how to turn it off later.
If you’ve ever pulled some hard-boiled eggs out of the fridge and wondered about microwaving them, here’s all the research you need.

Good news, someone did the research for you!
Um, maybe the person who made this sign for a fire exit should have given it a second look.

I’m pretty sure it’s not supposed to be a race to the exit, with people pushing each other back into the flames.
Again, there’s a designer who needed to take another look before hitting “send.”

Unless this is supposed to be ironic or something, in which case maybe they could charge even more for this at Urban Outfitters.
Not even sure how this even occurs to someone to be a good enough idea to try, whatever was being tried.

Kudos to the photographer for getting the evidence before helping their friend up. It was really the right thing to do.
“Look at the photos of Becky and Sam. Guess the problem each person has.”

Is it a random floating play button that won’t do anything because it’s printed on paper? Whoopsie!
Sometimes you have to work with what’s there, I guess, but still.

If that was my ad, I wouldn’t be too happy with how that placement worked out.
Get a new door handle, or just ruin the door so the existing handle actually works?

And we can clearly see which way the decision went here.
Or, you know, no door handle at all.

It would be fine if this was only an exit, but apparently it’s the only door to a janitor’s closet , so I’m guessing whoever took the pic has a friend on the other side of the door waiting to let them out.
Someone definitely had a plan when they arranged those rocks in the concrete at the bottom of the stairs.

Maybe to prevent slips and falls in the winter? I don’t know, but they must have broken a few ankles over the years, right?
I hope this is just a demonstration of an MRI machine’s power.

If not, leaving that equipment too close is gonna be a lawsuit or a hefty insurance claim or something.
Accessibility is definitely a good goal to have!

But if someone would like to explain how the Braille on that sign will do anybody any good whatsoever, by all means.
There must be a good story behind the installation of this chandelier.

If only someone had put time and effort into making an artistic design on the ceiling to show where it should go.
Laziness is a choice.

And apparently the choice was to make this jack-o-lantern even more scary and disgusting for next Halloween by not throwing it out.
Maybe this gate control was intended for British communities?

But in America, it’s on the wrong side of the road, so drivers have to get out to use it.
Adding a hyper-realistic mural to the lobby of this hospital must have seemed like a brilliant plan at one point.

But they’re painting over it now because so many people have bumped into the wall thinking a hallway was there.
Sweet ultra modern bathroom design, defeated by a mere cat.

Installed a door that only swings out. The cat opened a drawer. Checkmate.
You know what, hand dryers aren’t the most hygienic things anyway.

But maybe just take it down altogether instead of installing it where only giants can use it?
“Wouldn’t it be cute if we used little liquor bottles to package deer urine?”

What could possibly go wrong?
So, um, I’m sure there’s a reason to stick a leg through a pet door.

Maybe just to see if you can get it all the way through? But what’s this person’s plan now?
