Amy Schumer's Gender Reveal Came With An Unexpected Message

Many celebrities choose to do elaborate gender reveal parties when they're pregnant, but Amy Schumer decided to do things a little bit differently.

Instead of ordering a towering blue and pink cake, or opening a box of pastel balloons, Amy took to social media to reveal the gender of her baby and share an important message.

Listen, we get it. It seems like Amy Schumer has been pregnant FOREVER.

And no one knows this better than Amy, who has been through a lot these past months as she battles hyperemesis gravidarum (a condition which cause extreme nausea in pregnant women).

However, Amy has still kept us laughing along the way with her relatable posts about pregnancy.

That Amy, even when she's puking her guts out, she'll still try to find a way to make us laugh. I still can't get over this fake baby bump she wore.

Amy has also taken the time to spread some awareness about political issues as she prepares to welcome her first child.

In this recent post where she confirmed that she was still pregnant, Amy also said she was still "puking" because of the lack of medical research for women's issues. You tell 'em, Amy.

Now, Amy has revealed the gender of her baby, but she didn't do so with a gender reveal party or cake.

Instead, she took the time to call out Wendy's (yes, the fast-food chain) for failing to protect female farmers from sexual assault.

If you're confused, let me back up.

Chance the Rapper recently tweeted out some "positive affirmations" hoping that Wendy's would bring back their spicy chicken nuggets. Yes, this is true and actually happened.

Well, Chance's tweet got enough viral attention that Wendy's agreed to bring the nuggets back if their tweet got 2-million likes.

This is the age we like in, folks.

Anyways, Amy kindly asked Chance to reconsider supporting Wendy's, using her pregnancy updates as a platform since she knows so many people are reading them right now.

"We love @chancetherapper and hate to be the ones to tell him that Wendys is the only fast food chain refusing to protect farmworker women from sexual assault and rape in the fields," Amy wrote in her Instagram caption.

After sharing some information on this important topic, Amy also revealed the gender of her baby.

"Also we are having a boy," she said.

Congrats, Amy and Chris! I'm sure he'll grow up to be outspoken about important issues just like his parents.
