Joanna Gaines Says She Feels 'Younger' Being A Mom At 40 And Twitter Is Laughing

Chip and Joanna Gaines have been the definition of #HouseGoals and #RelationshipGoals for years, but Joanna's comments in a recent interview might change all that.

When Joanna said that having a baby at 40 made her feel younger, the internet collectively laughed and rolled its eyes.

Take a look at some very relatable responses to Joanna's statement.

You probably know Chip and Joanna Gaines from their hit home show "Fixer-Upper".

They're the ones who have convinced you that your home needs more shiplap.

The two are also parents to five children: Drake, Ella Rose, Duke, Emmie Kay, and baby Crew.

Chip and Joanna's youngest son was a complete surprise.

The couple didn't expect to find themselves pregnant with another little one, but Joanna fully embraced pregnancy at 40.

Little Crew made his debut in June 2018.

In an new interview with People Joanna opened up about her baby boy and how motherhood is different at age 40.

For one thing, she said having Crew made her relax more.

"I realized there has to be spontaneity, and schedules kind of go out the door,” she said. “It’s like, ‘Hey, if I don’t get to it, it’s fine.’ I’ve just relaxed so much more, and it’s been fun for me.”

She also joked that having a baby at 40 made her feel younger.

“I kid with people, ‘If you ever want to feel young again, have a baby at 40,’ ” she said.

While Joanna was joking, it hasn't stopped people from sharing their reactions on Twitter.

Most parents would agree that having a baby is anything but relaxing. I think I've actually aged 10 years since my son was born.

Some who did have babies at age 40 did not share the same opinion as Joanna.

I guess parenting is like the fountain of youth for some people... and like that torture machine in The Princess Bride for others.

It's pretty fair to say that most people on Twitter don't agree with this position.

Maybe this is only true if you're raising kids in a house that also looks like a chic, rustic barn?

And some expecting parents took Joanna's view with a side of optimism.

Hey, motherhood is different for everyone. Just because it took years off my life doesn't mean the same thing will happen to you.
