Ombré Stairs Will Add A Splash Of Color To Any Home

Having recently moved into a new space I know how dull things can look when they're not painted or decorated.

I started looking at how I can make my space a little different from the ordinary, and then I stumbled upon this unbelievable idea: ombré stairs! Say what? No, seriously this apparently is a thing.

I just had to take a closer look at what this is all about.

Beautiful Teal

Teal is one of my favorite colors, so I literally died and had gone to stairway heaven when I saw this paint job!

Burst Of Color

How about this amazing pink color combination? Wow, stairs like this definitely make a statement.

Green Living

These stairs are just perfect for that green living lover. If you can't get out into nature, bring nature to your home.

Feeling Blue

I'm always indecisive, so this idea seems perfect if you can't decide on just one color. And I'm totally loving these blue vibes.

Concrete Dream

If you can believe it, this idea will also work on concrete stairs. I think this black to light gray transition is a keeper.

Life's A Peach

If pastels are your thing, this color looks absolutely light and pretty. What an awesome accent to that white wall. Meow!

Ombré Runner

If you're like me and unsure that you fully want to commit to painting your stairs, this idea is genius. Why not just use a colorful runner instead?

Hot Pink

If you really want to make a splash with color, go bold or go home! This hot pink number is a stunner!

Is this doable?

A Kailo Chic Life

Absolutely! If you think achieving this look must be complicated, it's actually quite easy. All you need is paint in white and the color of your choosing, tape, brushes, a bucket, and mixing cups.

Step #1

After picking your color of choice, paint the starting step with the colored paint. For a deeper color, do two coats.

Step #2

On the next step, mix two cups of the original paint with half a cup of white paint. Again, paint two coats.

Step #3

Now with this new hue, you need to repeat the process. Add a half a cup of white paint to it and mix. Paint the third step.

Step #4

Keep repeating the process until you reach the final step. And, voilà! You've just created ombré steps. It's minimal work for a stunning result.

See, I told you this wasn't that hard. And you probably didn't believe me. Now go do it yourself!

These stairs would make a colorful and eye-catching addition to any home. I think I know what I'm doing this weekend!
