They say that if at first you don’t succeed, you should try again, but that’s not always possible. Like, if you’re trying to cook something and accidentally burn the house down, it’s gonna be a while before you get another chance.
And although the people on this list didn’t bungle things that hard, they still made the kind of mess that you can only walk away from.
Preferably very quickly.
1. If nothing else, at least the peanut gallery is being surprisingly understanding about this predicament.
Maybe they just felt really bad because she picked the worst possible caption for these photos? They can’t make fun of this because it’s impossible to stop cringing.
2. If I were a jerk, I’d say this parent was being too specific, but I can only focus on how disrespectful the kid is.
I can already hear the hushed murmurs of people thinking about what their mamas would do if they tried this nonsense.
3. I don’t know how this happened, but I do know that ain’t nobody trying to defuse this soda bomb.
A mess doesn’t somehow get more appealing to clean up when it comes in three different flavors. I’m glad I don’t have to figure this one out.

At least she’ll have an easy enough time paying for this hospital visit after she predicts some winning lottery numbers.

9. To be fair to this person, I can’t say I’ve seen many ultrasounds with an orange tint to them.
At the same time, I really wanna see what kind of lasagna they’ve been eating because it’s strong evidence that intelligent alien life exists.
10. I suppose this person wouldn’t have sent this to Gordon Ramsay if they weren’t already aware they messed up.
It’s like some kind of culinary confession if the penance just involves a chef yelling at you and calling you a donkey.
11. By now, I can definitely say to whoever did this that they’re not alone, but I hope they didn’t just leave it there on purpose.
You know, I think I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt because it’s entirely possible they still haven’t noticed this.
12. Well, this person definitely broke something, but it wasn’t science.
Just remember, when this thing explodes, it’s not because NASA is onto you. That little percentage bump really didn’t do this person any favors, though.
I hate when dumb decisions give us false hope.
13. Apparently, the owner left all of the windows open during a blizzard while they went skiing.
Even if we’ve found the world’s only person who loves snow so much that they’d be happy with this, it really can’t be good for the car.
14. I’m all for finding an excuse not to leave the house, but something like this reminds me that even that attitude has limits.
Although I think we can say the knob’s maker messed up here, unless this person turned into the Hulk mid-pull.
15. As much as I’d like to tell you this computer had a freak bubble gum mishap, that’s actually wax.
Yeah, apparently somebody thought it was a good idea to use their PC as a candleholder. That’s putting way too much trust in the cooling fan.
16. Gah! Even the dog seems disturbed by what just happened to it.
“I tried to tell them what you wanted, but they just kept cutting. I miss my floof…”
If it gives the pupper any comfort, we all miss its floof.
