OH HAPPY DAY! OOOOH HAPPY DAY!
Today I come bearing wonderful news for all of us Law & Order: SVU fans. It has not been an easy road to get here. It has been, in fact, very hard. Fans were supposed to get Chris Meloni's highly anticipated SVU spinoff, Law & Order: Organized Crime this past fall, but as we all know, those dreams were ripped away from us.
However, it seems our luck may be changing with a series of pictures Mariska Hargitay just posted.
Like peanut butter and jelly, like fish and chips, like SONNY AND CHER, this pair are just better TOGETHER!
As you may have heard, Chris is finally returning to Law & Order: SVU, as was seen all over social media earlier this month.
It has been almost 10 years since Olivia Benson and Elliot Stabler were on-screen together and fans couldn't be more excited!
Fans have been waiting for this show ever since it was announced last year! With an original Fall 2020 premiere date, the show was continuously delayed due to COVID-19 restrictions. I just felt like bad news after bad news!
Back in July, the actor revealed he hadn't even seen a bloody script for Organized Crime yet!
"And then you get new rules and regulations coming out of Universal, and then from the unions. You have to service a lot of masters right now, just to make sure everybody is safe, right? What’s the new norm for shooting?"
WELL, IT LOOKS LIKE THEY HAVE FIGURED IT ALL OUT, FINALLY!
"It's all happening," Mariska captioned the photos.
Also please note all the pictures are in black and white which means they're VERY DRAMATIC!
Needless to say, fans were losing their minds!
"THIS IS WHAT WE NEEDED TO BEGIN HEALING AGAIN," wrote one fan.
"There better be ALOT of crossovers! Never seen 2 people have a better connection on the screen," wrote another.
This is a moment of gold. This is a flash of light. It is truly ALL coming back to me now!
I cannot wait to see this dynamic duo back on my screen again, and for a new series none the less!
