Quotes That Are As Relatable As They Are Petty

I like to think that I'm not a petty person, but there are those certain times when I will go there just out out of spite.

Usually, those moments are triggered by relatively small instances of annoyance and I often feel a bit bad afterward for letting them get to me.

And then I realized that not only does everyone do these weird, irrationally petty things sometimes, but they often happen in response to the same irritating circumstances.

They are, in fact, #relatableaf.

Like, there is an indoor farmers' market next to the Diply offices and for some reason, the "push" side of the doors have the sort of handles you would expect to "pull."

I have gone to that market hundreds of times and my muscle memory still tries to pull those doors open. So, you know what I'm sick of? People informing me that I should push.

I know I should push, but that doesn't make the handles any less stupid.

Shuffle is only good for two things: putting on music I intend to ignore completely or annoying the hell out of me.

And don't get me started on supposedly random shuffles. If they were really random, then I wouldn't have to listen to a band's discography in the same "randomized" order three days in a row.

There's nothing quite like the feeling of smug superiority when you pull up next to the crazy driver at a stoplight.

"Oh, did you just risk the lives of dozens of people as you swerved between lanes at rush hour? Safety first, asshole."

It's even better if they happen to end up behind me at the light. There is a sweet, sweet pettiness to taking that few extra seconds to move after the light turns green.
