This took place in 1994. She played Laura Nelson in North, alongside Elijah Wood.

That's not the only role she did as a child. She was also in Home Alone 3, Just Cause, and If Lucy Fell.

2. She once brought a breast pump to the Oscars:

With the 2015 Academy Awards taking place only five months after she gave birth to her daughter, Rose, what's a mom to do??

“I had to bring my breast pump, because I was nursing and every ounce is like liquid gold," she said.

3. She's the inspiration behind Katy Perry's "I Kissed a Girl":

Who wouldn't have a girl crush on Scarlett?

"'I Kissed a Girl' was inspired when I opened up a magazine and I saw a picture of Scarlett Johansson," Perry told Steppin’ Out.

4. She's not a fan of her nickname "ScarJo":

“I associate [ScarJo] with, like, pop stars,” Johansson said in a 2014 interview with Glamour.

“It sounds tacky. It’s lazy and flippant . . . And there’s something kind of violent about it. There’s something insulting about it.”

5. She's the opposite of a bridezilla:

When she was planning her wedding with Paris journalist, Romain Dauriac, she took a chill approach.

"We're just going with the flow. I've never been one to do a full-on themed wedding. I don't care about that stuff," she said.

6. She has a twin brother named Hunter:

The pair share a special bond.

"I mean, we've been together since the womb," she told Glamour in 2014. "We're very protective of each other. I think that has to do with us being twins but also our upbringing."

7. She was once married to Ryan Reynolds:

This is one celeb romance that fans may have forgotten about.

The pair were married for two years, but they called it quits in 2010 due to conflicting schedules. Ryan is now married to Blake Lively.

“I didn’t really have an understanding of marriage,” she told *Vanity Fair* about marrying Ryan at 23.

“Maybe I kind of romanticized it, I think, in a way. It’s a different part of my life now. I feel like I’m in a place in my life, I feel I’m able to make more active choices. I’m more present, I think, than I’ve been before," she said.

8. She's a singer:

While her acting chops have earned her more recognition than her vocal chops, she does have some raw talent.

In 2009, she and her sultry voice collaborated with singer Pete Yorn for an album called "Break Up."

9. She was rejected from NYU:

In 2003, she applied to New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts.

While being rejected is never easy, everything worked out in the end since she took it as a sign to focus on acting!

10. She's faced her fair share of criticism for certain roles:

The backlash was swift when it was announced that Scarlett would star in Rub & Tug as Dante "Tex" Gill.

Initially, Johansson defended her role by saying that men have played transgender women.

But she eventually pulled out of the movie.

She said that she was "grateful that the conversation regarding inclusivity in Hollywood continues."

Then, in 2015, she was criticized for "whitewashing" the lead role of an Asian woman in the movie Ghost in the Shell.

11. She auditioned for the lead role in *The Parent Trap*:

As we all know, the role famously went to Lindsay Lohan, who played twins in the Disney remake.

This is something that Scarlett is still bitter about — 20 years later.

“I saw Jumanji. I liked it. I wasn’t bitter enough then, now I’m bitter," she said while doing press for her film *Ghost in the Shell*.

Marvel

"When it came to The Parent Trap, I started to get bitter … it was hard for me…" she said.

12. She has a Thor hammer tattoo:

She got it done as an homage to her Danish father, who was an architect.

She also has nine piercings in her left ear. "I actively avoid period films so I don't have to take all my earrings out," she told THR.

13. She has considered running for office one day:

If you're surprised, you're not alone! “I’ve always been interested in local politics,” Johansson told CBS News.

In the past, she's been a vocal supporter of both Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton.

“Right now, I think with my young daughter, and also as my career is going right now, it’s not the right time.”

“But eventually, maybe if my daughter was older and I could totally focus myself on something like that, I think it could be interesting," she continued.

14. She believes that Woody Allen is innocent:

The director has been accused of sexually abusing his adopted daughter, Dylan Farrow.

"I love Woody," she told The Hollywood Reporter in 2019. "I believe him, and I would work with him anytime."

"I see Woody whenever I can, and I have had a lot of conversations with him about it."

HitRecord

"I have been very direct with him, and he's very direct with me. He maintains his innocence, and I believe him."

15. Her acting dream is to be a Disney princess:

"My daughter is still young. Right now I think we both share the dream that I will someday be a Disney princess, but it’s probably not going to happen. I’ve been asking for that job for the past 20 years, and nobody has booked me."

16. She fired her mother, who was her manager:

Her mother, Melanie Sloan, was her manager up until 2009, but she was fired by the star!

I don't know about you, but that sounds DRAMATIC. I'm sure the tension was soap opera-worthy.

17. She is weirdly obsessed with cheese:

When she was being interviewed for "Sexiest Woman Alive," Johansson was asked whether or not cheese was still her favorite thing to eat.

She gave a weirdly lengthy answer: "No, I love cheese – I don’t eat it, but I love it."

"It’s like my feeling about the clothes I would wear if I weren’t recognizable. I like to smell cheese, I like to watch people enjoying it and I like to encourage people to eat cheeses I know taste really good."

"But I don’t eat it any more because my body just does better without it.”

18. She has a *Looney Tunes* character named after her.

Cartoon Network

While nothing of what she goes through resembles her real life, the character was actually named after her!

It's a pretty cool way to keep a legacy alive if you ask me! There are worse things!

19. She is completely aware of the fact that people have a lot of issues with her.

But she refuses to let that stop her from speaking her truth:

"I’m not a politician, and I can’t lie about the way I feel about things. I don’t have that. It’s just not a part of my personality. I don’t want to have to edit myself, or temper what I think or say," she said.

"I can’t live that way. It’s just not me. And also I think that when you have that kind of integrity, it’s going to probably rub people, some people, the wrong way."

"And that’s kind of par for the course, I guess."

"Even though there’s moments where I feel maybe more vulnerable because I’ve spoken my own opinion about something, my own truth and experience about it—and I know that it might be picked apart in some way, people might have a visceral reaction to it—I think it’s dangerous to temper how you represent yourself, because you’re afraid of that kind of response."

"That, to me, doesn’t seem very progressive at all. That seems scary.”

20. Despite the fact that she believes Woody Allen, she is also a supporter of the #MeToo movement.

"It's hard because it's a time where people are very fired up, and understandably. Things needed to be stirred up, and so people have a lot of passion and a lot of strong feelings and are angry, and rightfully so. It's an intense time," she said.

21. She was actually okay with the death of Black Widow:

"The finality of it was sad, but I was excited to die with honor. It felt in-character that she would sacrifice herself, of course for humanity but actually for her friends, for the people she loves. It was bittersweet."
