Scarlett Johansson may be a household name, but there's still so much we don't know about her off-screen.
For instance, did you know that she has a twin brother? Or that she has a Thor hammer tattoo?

This took place in 1994. She played Laura Nelson in North, alongside Elijah Wood.
That's not the only role she did as a child. She was also in Home Alone 3, Just Cause, and If Lucy Fell.

Who wouldn't have a girl crush on Scarlett?
"'I Kissed a Girl' was inspired when I opened up a magazine and I saw a picture of Scarlett Johansson," Perry told Steppin’ Out.
“I associate [ScarJo] with, like, pop stars,” Johansson said in a 2014 interview with Glamour.
“It sounds tacky. It’s lazy and flippant . . . And there’s something kind of violent about it. There’s something insulting about it.”
When she was planning her wedding with Paris journalist, Romain Dauriac, she took a chill approach.
"We're just going with the flow. I've never been one to do a full-on themed wedding. I don't care about that stuff," she said.
The pair share a special bond.

While being rejected is never easy, everything worked out in the end since she took it as a sign to focus on acting!
The backlash was swift when it was announced that Scarlett would star in Rub & Tug as Dante "Tex" Gill.
Initially, Johansson defended her role by saying that men have played transgender women.
She said that she was "grateful that the conversation regarding inclusivity in Hollywood continues."
Then, in 2015, she was criticized for "whitewashing" the lead role of an Asian woman in the movie Ghost in the Shell.
As we all know, the role famously went to Lindsay Lohan, who played twins in the Disney remake.
This is something that Scarlett is still bitter about — 20 years later.
"When it came to The Parent Trap, I started to get bitter … it was hard for me…" she said.
She got it done as an homage to her Danish father, who was an architect.
She also has nine piercings in her left ear. "I actively avoid period films so I don't have to take all my earrings out," she told THR.

"My daughter is still young. Right now I think we both share the dream that I will someday be a Disney princess, but it’s probably not going to happen. I’ve been asking for that job for the past 20 years, and nobody has booked me."
Her mother, Melanie Sloan, was her manager up until 2009, but she was fired by the star!

When she was being interviewed for "Sexiest Woman Alive," Johansson was asked whether or not cheese was still her favorite thing to eat.
She gave a weirdly lengthy answer: "No, I love cheese – I don’t eat it, but I love it."
"But I don’t eat it any more because my body just does better without it.”
While nothing of what she goes through resembles her real life, the character was actually named after her!
It's a pretty cool way to keep a legacy alive if you ask me! There are worse things!
But she refuses to let that stop her from speaking her truth:
"I’m not a politician, and I can’t lie about the way I feel about things. I don’t have that. It’s just not a part of my personality. I don’t want to have to edit myself, or temper what I think or say," she said.
"And that’s kind of par for the course, I guess."
"That, to me, doesn’t seem very progressive at all. That seems scary.”
"It's hard because it's a time where people are very fired up, and understandably. Things needed to be stirred up, and so people have a lot of passion and a lot of strong feelings and are angry, and rightfully so. It's an intense time," she said.
"The finality of it was sad, but I was excited to die with honor. It felt in-character that she would sacrifice herself, of course for humanity but actually for her friends, for the people she loves. It was bittersweet."
