Gwyneth Paltrow Opens Up About 'Very Lucky' Love Life After Chris Martin Split

Who says divorce has to be a bad thing all the time?

The world was shocked — and understandably heartbroken — back in 2014 when Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin decided to "consciously uncouple."

But now, in a new interview with Hello! magazine, Paltrow revealed how "very lucky" she's been to find love with her new husband following her high-profile split.

It's been six years since Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin decided to "consciously uncouple."

The former pair, who have two children together, Apple, 16, and Moses, 14, were married for a little over a decade when they split.

While divorce is never easy, these two soon found their footing, as revealed in a 2019 interview with *Harper's Bazaar*.

“It’s not like there’s a finish line: ‘Oh, we consciously uncoupled; we’re done,’ she said.

"It’s a lifelong commitment to constantly reinvent your relationship with your ex."

"Which you do presumably because you have children together," she explained.

"I don’t see a reason to do it if you don’t have children together. Some people do. But I think we put all the hard work in at the beginning."

She continued on, explaining that their relationship is no longer difficult.

"I would say very rarely is it difficult now. We’ve learned how to communicate with each other. We love each other. We laugh. We have the best of each other. It’s really nice. It makes you feel like you don’t have to lose.”

Recently, Gwyneth even wished Chris a "Happy Father's Day" on Instagram.

This isn't the only example of their closeness. Gwyneth even wished Chris's girlfriend, actress Dakota Johnson, a happy 30th birthday last year.

Gwyneth has also hung out with Chris and Dakota on multiple occasions.

But the biggest surprise that came from her divorce from Chris Martin was the love she found afterwards.

This is with Brad Falchuk, a movie and film producer, whom she wed in September 2018 after three years of dating.

The pair first met in 2010 while on the set of Glee.

Recently, *The Politician* actress gushed to *Hello!* magazine about meeting her husband following her public divorce to Martin.

“It was a wonderful surprise," she said. "I didn’t necessarily think that falling in love again would happen for me."

She went on to say that she's been "very lucky."

“I think when it happens to you when you’re a bit older, you place a value and an importance on it that you don’t when you’re in your 20s, because at that age you don’t know the difference yet. I’ve been very lucky.”

This isn't the first time Gwyneth has gushed about her husband.

“I adore my husband. He’s brilliant and deeply kind. I feel like he’s a real equal too. And he pushes me in the best ways. I really like being married. It’s fun," she told InStyle back in August.

Back then, the couple had been married for a year and were only *just* moving in together.

"Married life has been really good. We took a year to let everybody [in the family] take it in and let the dust settle. And now we’re moving in together this month,” Paltrow said.

While living separately was certainly unorthodox, Paltrow said that it gave their marriage “polarity.”

She even told The Sunday Times that her intimacy coach approved of their unconventional living arrangement.

Hey, whatever works for them! That's all that matters!

During the interview with *Hello!* magazine, Gwyneth also shared how she and her kids have been handling the coronavirus pandemic.

“At first I was thinking, ‘Oh my goodness, what do we do?'” she said.

“I was worried it would be very difficult for my teenagers because we’re all so used to having our lives and our freedoms the way we have them."

She continued:

"And for teenagers to be told, OK, no going out, no parties, no skateboarding in the skatepark, anything like that. It’s quite a change.”

Luckily, they surprised their mom by handling all of the changes well.

"But honestly they have been so wonderful during this time,” Paltrow explained.

“They really took the lead about being responsible with their schoolwork and what I loved most was the long, lingering dinner conversations that we had every night.”

“I’m very proud of them for how they’ve dealt with this.”

Aww, so cute! This woman really has it all: a great husband and wonderful kids.
