America's sweetheart Kelly Clarkson has filed for divorce from her husband of nearly seven years, Brandon Blackstock.
The news may come as a surprise to fans, who have always seen the loving and easy-going couple as happy. Together with their children, the couple have announced their decision to amicably separate.
Brandon is the son of Kelly's former manager, Narvel Blackstock, and the former stepson of Reba McEntire.
Five-year-old daughter, River and four-year-old son, Remington.
They also confirmed that Kelly had cited irreconcilable differences in her divorce filing.
And Kelly has reportedly asked for joint legal and physical custody of River and Remington.
"She is asking the court enforces their premarital agreement, and that both parties cover their own attorney's fees," ET reported.
"And I'm not downing my exes. You know, everybody's different. But there was something about him."
"I was like, 'Oh that's that feeling… OK! That's what they were talking about in Waiting to Exhale. I just got it. I just didn't have a clue."
