Fans Are Concerned Ryan Seacrest Had A Stroke During 'American Idol' Finale

We know Ryan Seacrest, arguably better than we know our own friends and family! The TV presenter is at every red carpet, every New Year's Eve ball-drop and on every American Idol episode!

So as millions of fans tuned into the American Idol finale this past weekend, many were quick to notice that something didn't seem right with their beloved TV host.

The much anticipated season finale of *American Idol* aired on Sunday to an eager fanbase.

I WON'T SAY WHO WON HERE IN CASE YOU HAVEN'T SEEN IT, BUT PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND CHECK THAT OUT NOW!

It was a very controversial choice.

Of course, the finale was live-streamed remotely with all the contestants, judges, guest stars, and crew members working from home.

This meant that fans were getting a much more intimate and unedited version of the live finale than usual!

However, there's no denying these live-streamed finale events are a little...anti-climactic.

It's a lot of awkward silences, pauses and technical difficulties AND YES, I KNOW, THEY'RE DOING THE BEST THEY CAN!!!

......... But it's still awkward, lol.

It's safe to say a lot was happening that night, including a gorgeous live performance by a very adorable, VERY PREGGERS Katy Perry.

It was the first TV performance of her new single, "Daisies," and it was magical!

The TECHNOLOGY! We're living!!!

However, as the finale aired, fans took to Twitter to express their concern over Ryan Seacrest's behaviour.

The clip that began circulating was one with Ryan slurring a few of his words and hanging his head.

His one eye also seemed to be closing.

Of course, slurred speech is a common sign of a stroke.

Naturally, fans were worried that the usually upbeat TV host seemed to be disoriented and uncomfortable.

"Did Ryan Seacrest have a stroke? I’m worried," tweeted one fan.

And while none of these Twitter users are doctors, it doesn't take a medical professional to see something doesn't seem right with Ryan!

Now, his rep is speaking out about the incident and is assuring fans the 45-year-old is totally okay!

Some speculated the slurred speech could be a result of drinking too much.

"My wife has watched American Idol since the year we got married. So, I watch American Idol. I get into it every year... I have no idea what we just watched. Something was wrong. Seriously I hope Ryan Seacrest was just drunk," wrote Twitter user Brad Shepard.

"Ryan did not have any kind of stroke last night," Ryan's rep told *People* magazine.

"Like many people right now, Ryan is adjusting to the new normal and finding work-home balance, with the added stress of having to put on live shows from home."

His rep went on to explain that the man is just overworked A.F.!

"Between Live with Kelly and Ryan, American Idol, On Air with Ryan Seacrest, and the Disney Family Singalong specials, he has been juggling three to four on-air jobs over the last few weeks and he’s in need of rest."

"So today he took a well-deserved day off," they concluded.

We're glad to hear Ryan is doing okay and is getting the much needed rest he deserves!
