Carole Baskin From 'Tiger King' Pranked Into Thinking Jimmy Fallon Interviewed Her

One pair of YouTube pranksters recently managed to trick Carole Baskin into believing that she was being interviewed by Jimmy Fallon in her first public interview since Tiger King.

Carole Baskin has been receiving quite a lot of attention at present.

Yes, as Tiger King continues to dominate the world and seemingly worm its way into every single home on the planet, Carole Baskin has become something of a household name.

What with the internet being flooded with Tiger King memes and celebrities doing Tiger King parodies (Rob Lowe's being the best) Joe Exotic and Carole Baskin are some of the most talked-about names at the moment!

However, Carole Baskin has not done any public interviews since the documentaries release.

Despite the immense success of the show, Carole has apparently not done any public interviews since the show's release.

Furthermore, Baskin was not asked to be involved in the Tiger King follow-up special, and she apparently had no desire to be in it anyway, as a spokesperson for Baskin told Entertainment Weekly:

"We have not been approached about a new episode and would not participate if asked".

Although, one prankster duo managed to snare an exclusive interview with the Tiger Queen on YouTube!

British Youtubers Josh Pieters and Archie Manners are known for their elaborate celebrity pranks. Perhaps the best known of which being when Pieters managed to get regular human trash can Katie Hopkins to fly all the way to Prague to accept a fake award known as the "Campaign to Unify the Nation Trophy".

The Youtuber's most recent victim was none other than Baskin, however, this prank was a slightly more light-hearted affair!

The Youtubers managed to trick Baskin by pretending to be representatives from a fake production company.

The pair sent out emails to a variety of celebrities and their agents under the guise of being representatives of a production company that books celebrities onto interviews with high profile talk show hosts.

Once they manage to convince the unsuspecting celebrities that their offer is legitimate, the pair use a soundboard of clips from the talk show host's previous interviews to conduct the fake interview.

The pranksters convinced Baskin that she would be talking to Jimmy Fallon.

Baskin agreed to do the interview under the condition that they would not discuss the Tiger King documentary whatsoever, and instead focus on her work with cats... because, y'know, she's pretty into cats in case you weren't aware!

When the prankster duo eventually gets her into a zoom call with who she believes is Jimmy Fallon, the pair tells her that she won't be able to see Fallon due to the type of NBC cameras that they are using. However, they assure her that she will be able to hear the prolific talk show host.

Baskin starts the interview off by naming her favourite cats before chatting with the fake Jimmy about her charity work.

Baskin explains that her daughter wanted her to do the interview (proof that you should absolutely never listen to your kids!), and then talks the Jimmy Fallon soundboard through how the lockdown has affected her sanctuary. Baskin explains:

"I work seven days a week. But I'm a workaholic so I really love doing this work."

The pair also manage to get Baskin to say her catchphrase, "Hey all you cool cats and kittens!"

The fake interview has since gone viral across the internet, with Baskin herself even responding to the video!

Baskin took the prank incredibly well and said that she had been suspicious about doing the interview in the first place; although, she claimed that she had gotten a good laugh out of the prank. She also found the prank to not be mean-spirited in any way.

"I was suspicious as we were doing it because the questions appeared taped. But had no idea it would turn out to be such a fun prank. It gave us a very welcome good laugh. I appreciate their cleverness and that they created their video in a way that I don't feel was in any way mean spirited," Baskin has since told CNN.

People have been floored that the duo managed to pull it off.

The video of Baskin's fake interview has since been viewed over 3.5 million times, with people writing the likes of:

"Wow, I'm beyond impressed in how y'all pulled this off..."

"Jimmy Fallon team will be so pissed off. They miss a big interview."

"If I was her I'd, have caught on really quick. Jimmy Fallon cuts people off constantly when they try and talk."

It's good to see that she was a good sport about the whole thing.

When I first saw the video of the fake interview, I thought that she was going to be a lot more miffed, so it came as a surprise when she was so relaxed about the whole thing!

However, regardless of how this video makes you feel, one thing is for sure... it's going to be a long time before we stop seeing Tiger King content!
