Mandy Moore just treated A Walk to Remember fans with a beautiful rendition of "Only Hope," 18 years after the movie's release!
These days, you might know her most from the tearjerker show, This Is Us, which just wrapped up its fourth season.
She starred in several hit movies, such as The Princess Diaries, How to Deal, and Saved.
She was one of Hollywood's "It Girls" during this time!
In the romantic tearjerker, she played Jamie Sullivan, the town's known "good girl" who was also the pastor's daughter.
Through a series of surprising events, she ended up falling in love with her high school's bad boy, Landon Carter (played by Shane West).
Mandy didn't just act in the film.
As a singer, she got to perform several of the songs's on the film's soundtrack.
She also sang a gorgeous cover of Switchfoot's 1999 "Only Hope."
In 2017, she revealed the reason behind this on Twitter.
"I loved the original version by the band Switchfoot so I was bit nervous to record it. Once we got to filming the scene, I was ready," she wrote.
Moore and her husband, Taylor Goldsmith, even recently performed a rendition of the beautiful song for fans while at home in isolation.
The couple has always bonded over their shared love for music, as he's a singer for the rock band, Dawes.
"This is a song I've song one time, almost 20 years ago," Moore says to her husband. "I think I've sung it once in concert, in the Philippines."
"This has been requested a lot and I'm going to try and do my best to make it work, but bear with me because I don't really know it," she says.
"Was anyone else SOBBING last night listening to @TheMandyMoore singing only hope in instagram live?" another added.
She sounds just as beautiful and transported us back to a beautiful time.
Her first single off the album, titled "Silver Landings, is "Save a Little for Yourself."
“Sometimes writing a song feels like giving myself the advice I know I need the most and it’s often the hardest to heed,” Moore said.
“It makes the song almost a mantra of sorts — something I know I’ll continue learning because it bears repeating.”
We're so happy the actress has gone back to her singing roots!
Her recent rendition of "Only Hope" is giving us all the hope we need during this difficult time.
