Among all of the people who are patiently waiting to see the Lizzie McGuire reboot, ironically, Hilary Duff seems to be the most anxious.
And to prove how fed up she is of it being postponed, she threw some subtle shade on social media.
Among all of the people who are patiently waiting to see the Lizzie McGuire reboot, ironically, Hilary Duff seems to be the most anxious.
And to prove how fed up she is of it being postponed, she threw some subtle shade on social media.
Unfortunately, the wait has been a tad longer than expected...
It was revealed last month that production had been put on hold after Terri Minsky, the series' showrunner, split.
But the drama behind the scenes has caused a major setback.
The statement continued, reigniting hope that the show will eventually air.
"And a new generation of viewers too," they added.
She shared a headline about another Disney+ series called, Love, Victor that is being removed from the platform for not being "family-friendly" enough.
Interestingly, according to Variety, there was also supposed to be a "more adult" vision for the Lizzie McGuire revival.
Recent comments by Terri Minsky have suggested that that could be a positive option for Lizzie McGuire.
“Hilary has a grasp of Lizzie McGuire at 30 that needs to be seen. It’s a wonderful thing to watch."
"But ideally, I would love it if it could be given that treatment of going to Hulu and doing the show that we were doing."
"It’s important to me that this show was important to people," she went on.
Currently, Disney is meeting with potential replacements.
But rumor has it, sources close to the production are not entirely sure if the show will be able to carry out both Hilary and Disney's preferences.
That's all very reassuring, I know.
Only time will tell...
