Harvey Weinstein has been convicted of criminal sexual assault in the first degree, based on the testimony given by former "Project Runway" production assistant Miriam Haley, and rape in the third degree, based on the testimony given by one-time aspiring actress, Jessica Mann.

While six women testified that Weinstein had sexually assaulted them, the 67-year-old only faced criminal charges in connection with two of them— Haley and Mann.

The other women were allowed to testify to establish a pattern of behavior.

Prosecutors described Weinstein as a "clever predator" who kept his victims close in an effort to control them, using his power over their careers in the tv and film industry as leverage.

The verdict was announced on Monday after the 12-member jury of seven men and five women spent five days deliberating.

While the jury found Weinstein guilty of rape and a criminal sexual act, they acquitted him of the two counts of predatory sexual assault.

It was reported by "The New York Times" that Weinstein remained "unmoved" when the verdict was announced.
