These days there are so many places where you can get a tattoo. It’s very convenient, to say the least. However, you still need to pick the right artist to ensure you get a beautifully done piece of work.
If not, you may end up needing a cover-up tattoo to fix the poorly done job in the first place. Thankfully, there are artists who specialize in these types of designs and their work is nothing short of magic.
This Royal Upgrade
One of the disadvantages of getting a poorly done tattoo is fading. Every tattoo will fade somewhat over time, but you never want it to look like this, right? Thankfully this masterfully done cover-up saves the day.
This Awesome Correction
Color tattoos can be tricky. If you press the ink too hard, the tattoo can bleed. If you don’t press enough, the color could fade. So, it’s imperative that the artist you pick is awesome with applying color.
This Menacing Tiger
Yikes, this original tiger tattoo looks pretty scary to me, and that’s not a good thing. The cover-up brings this tiger back to life. I wouldn’t be embarrassed to show this one off to my friends.
This Black And White Compass
There’s something fascinating about the way a compass looks, at least to me. I’ve always loved them. The original tattoo didn’t do anything for me at all. But I now love this cover-up here.
This Faded Cross
First of all, the original tattoo looks pretty terrible to me. And second of all, it didn’t stand the test of time at all. I think the upgraded version is going to last a very long time.
This Revived Rose
OMG, what in the heck happened here? I don’t think I’ve ever seen a tattoo fade as much as this one. I’ve got to say I’m digging this cover-up version here. Now it looks pretty spectacular.
This Seeing Eye Cover-Up
Wow, what a difference between these two tattoos, huh? I don’t know what when through the mind of the artist when they did the first one? It’s pretty pitiful, isn’t it? I think the cover-up looks awesome here!
This Cartoon Arm Piece
Oh my goodness, this arm piece had all the right intentions. Sadly, somebody screwed up the tattooing part. I’m so happy to see this design got a total overhaul. This artist made the piece look the way it was supposed to look.
These Revived Notes
Just because you want a simple tattoo design, it doesn’t mean you can trust just anyone to do it for you. It is pretty apparent when you look at these two tattoos here. The one on the right totally lacks any flair.
This Majestic Bird
This tattoo design was such a great idea. Unfortunately, it lacked a good execution. In the hands of a great artist, the bird can really take flight here. What do you think of this touched-up design? I dig it.
This Butterfly Touch-Up
Even though this might be a subtle tattoo touch-up here, I do think it makes a big difference. The second one has so much more depth and definition. It’s also going to last a lot longer than the first one.
This Mermaid Overhaul
This tattoo was done by an apprentice. I think she did an okay job the first time around, but I’m thrilled to see that six years later, she fixed up this tattoo real nice. What do you think?
These Flowers In Bloom
Oh my goodness, look at the mess this faded tattoo left on this lady’s arm. That’s not cool. I’m happy to see another artist took a crack at it and fixed it right up. It’s so pretty now.
Have you ever gotten a tattoo that didn’t turn out the way you have hoped?
Did you get it touched-up, or did you just leave it alone? I think it’s okay to make a mistake, but it’s even better once you find the right tattoo artist to fix it.
