I don’t know about you, but I always look for ways to simplify my life. If there’s a faster and more efficient way of doing something, I’m all over it.
So I often find myself checking out lifehacks that other people have discovered. Today I’m sharing with you a few of them in hopes that they will make your life easier, too.
1. This Fire Starter Idea
Summer is just around the corner, and do you know what that means? It’s campfire time. If you need a quick fire starter, this idea seems like a good one. Put some dryer lint inside of a toilet paper roll and voilà.
2. This Clothes Hanger Clip
Do you throw out those plastic clothes hangers you get from a store? Perhaps you should keep them after all. They make the perfect chip bag clips if you ever run out of some. Ha, ha, I love this!
3. This Microwave Cleaning Hack
Guys, do this before cleaning your microwave. Run it for five-10 minutes with a bowl of water in it to loosen up the dried-out gunk with steam. Now your cleaning job is going to be a breeze.
4. This Toilet Cleaning Hack
Isn’t annoying when you see those yellow stains inside your toilet bowl? But did you know that you can pour a can of Coca-Cola and let it sit overnight? Then, wash it with soapy water and flush clean.
5. This Drain Unclogging Hack
Do this when your drains are clogged. Run hot water down for one minute. Pour one cup of baking soda down the drain. Then slowly pour one cup of vinegar, followed by more hot or boiling water.
6. This Jar Opening Trick
I always have trouble opening a jar. But now I just run hot water over the lid for a minute or two. Then I wipe down the jar and try to open it. The hot water loosens the lid, and it opens a lot more easily.
7. This Popsicle Eating Hack
Do you like popsicles? I do, too. But how do you eat them without dripping all over the place? It’s easy. Just insert a cupcake or muffin liner at the bottom to catch the drippings. Aha!
8. This Egg Peeling Hack
I love hard-boiled eggs, but sometimes they’re a pain to peel. Am I right? So I learned this easy trick to make the shells come off easier. Just add some baking soda to the cooking water.
9. This Grout Cleaning Hack
Have you heard of a hack to clean the grout using a toothbrush? It works, but it can be tedious. However, there’s a better way to do it. You can attach the bush to your drill just like this.
10. This Cash Stash Idea
Do you ever leave your house with just your phone? I do that all the time. Sometimes I want to go to a store on a whim, but I don’t have my wallet. But if I stash some cash in the phone case, I’m all set.
11. This Banana Bread Cutting Tip
I love making banana bread. But I’ll admit it’s sometimes hard to cut a slice off. The bread is very soft and can fall apart easily. So I’ve been using dental floss and it works like a charm.
12. This Apple Coring Technique
How do you core an apple? Usually, I use a knife. It’s a good way to do it, but you do have to be careful not to cut yourself. So using an ice scooper sounds a lot safer to me.
13. This Laundry Drying Hack
Do you like to air dry your laundry in the summer? It’s definitely a more eco-friendly way. If you ever run out of pegs, you can just use bread tags instead. I never would have thought of that.
How do you like these lifehacks, huh?
I think they can definitely come in handy. I love when people come up with better and more efficient ways to do something. Do you know of a hack you can share with all of us?
