Miley Cyrus Throws Shade To The Grammys For Not Inviting Her

It looks like Miley Cyrus's wild award show antics may have caught up to her...

The "Slide Away" singer just revealed that she wasn't invited to the 2020 Grammys and she thinks she knows why.

Miley Cyrus has been riding the train of fame for years now.

She grew up on Disney as Hannah Montana before carving out her own solo career.

For a while, she was pretty tame, but then she became a teenager.

Like all teenagers, her personal journey was a little wild, and it went through ups and downs even now as an adult.

She's already been through a marriage and a divorce and she's only 27-years-old!

In 2019, the star released a number of singles.

Such as "Slide Away", "Mother's Daughter", and "Don't Call Me Angel," which she released with Ariana Grande and Lana Del Rey.

However, that being said, just because a singer releases good music during the year, it doesn't mean they get to go to the Grammys.

Which is precisely why we are here today, folks!

Miley Cyrus has her own theory on why she wasn't even invited as a guest.

The 2020 Grammys had it all.

A star-studded evening, an emotional tribute to Kobe Bryant and his 13-year-old daughter, Gianna Maria who tragically died earlier that day, and even some pretty awkward moments.

The most notable awkward moment was when Ariana Grande couldn't stop swearing.

She definitely looked sorry for what she had done, and luckily the interviewer laughed it off easily.

There were also some major wins for those celebs who appeared on the scene in 2019.

Eighteen-year-old Billie Eilish, for instance, took home five Grammy wins, including Album of the Year and Best New Artist.

What this year's Grammys didn't have, however, was Miley Cyrus in attendance.

At first, it was speculated that she wasn't invited because a) she wasn’t performing and b) she wasn't nominated for any awards.

Miley has also been recovering from vocal cord surgery, which she had at the end of 2019.

A source recently told People that she is “doing great and will be back and better than ever early next year.”

Miley even recently announced plans to play multiple festivals this upcoming spring and summer.

This includes Governors Ball, Bonnaroo, and Bottlerock.

That is definitely going to be a killer festival.

So if Miley wasn't at the awards show for these reasons, what else could it be?

Well, the singer has a theory and she recently took to Instagram recently to share her insights.

"& we wonder why I’m not invited to award shows anymore ...." she captioned this throwback video, which shows her lighting up a joint at the 2013 VMAs.

That same night, she made major headlines for twerking on-stage with Robin Thicke to his hit song, "Blurred Lines."

Soon, Cyrus's post about why she wasn't invited to the Grammys resonated with fans and celeb pals.

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, Lisa Rinna, even wrote that Cyrus would be invited if she had an awards show.

"They don’t deserve you," wrote one fan.

"THEY NEED YOU MILEY YOU ARE THE CENTER OF ALL ATTENTION," added another.

While Miley wasn't at the Grammys, several of her family members were.

It was a big night for her her father, country singer Billy Ray Cyrus, who took the stage with Lil Nas X (and several special guests, including BTS, Diplo, and Mason Ramsey) to perform "Old Town Road."

Cyrus and Lil Nas X were also nominated for three Grammys: Record of the Year, Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, and Best Music Video.

In the end, they took home the Grammy for Best Music Video.

He had his wife, Tish, and his other musically-talented daughter, Noah, there to celebrate with him.

To make the win even more beautiful, Cyrus dedicated the award to the late Kobe and his daughter.

"So honored to win Best Music Video and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance," Billy wrote on Instagram.

"I'd like to dedicate both to Kobe and his beautiful daughter. Sending my thoughts and prayers to his family and friends during this difficult time."

Miley may not have been there in person, but she still sent both her dad and Lil Nas X some love via Instagram.

"Congrats to my dad @billyraycyrus and baby brother @lilnasx on their 2 Grammy awards!!!!!!," she wrote, before adding, "P.S. couldn’t one of y’all Grammy winnin’ [expletive] tell me I have pizza on my shirt at the damn function!"

She was clearly feeling all the love since she shared yet another congratulatory post to her fam.

This clip was from this summer's 2019 Glastonbury Festival, where she performed the hit song on-stage with both singers.

Invite or not, you "can't stop" and "won't stop" Miley from showing support to her family.

At the end of the day, she's just being Miley.
